Debate continues about taxpayer funding of the largest abortion provider in the nation. When will our lawmakers wake up and see the evil?
The media and many in government positions use fear and intimidation to keep morality at bay. Standing up for God’s word or the tenets of a Christian faith will get you labelled a bigot or closed minded. They expect us to just be quiet and accept today’s “changes.” But we cannot, and should not, acquiesce.
We are proud of the actions of clergy who stand up for the truths of the Church and who, despite backlash from secular society, refuse to back down. This is truly what it means to lead. And we must strive to follow this lead not only in our own hearts, but with our own voices.
Defending Christ in the Eucharist is something that no clergy should be afraid to do. When we receive His most precious body and blood, we must do so reverently and free from mortal sin. This includes all Catholics and anyone who calls himself a Catholic. To receive Our Lord in any other way is sacrilege.

Nancy Pelosi, the new high priestess of the Secular Church of America, has laid the gauntlet down.

On March 27, self-described “staunch Catholic” House minority leader Nancy Pelosi excitedly accepted Planned Parenthood’s highest honor, the Margaret Sanger Award—named in honor of the eugenicist who founded America’s largest abortion chain. Only days later at a luncheon on Tuesday, April 1, Pelosi was presented with a gift from Pope Francis.

Jesus told us that, if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. Yet the seeds most prevalent in society today are not those that bloom into something beautiful, but those that breed discontent, doubt, animosity, or even death. The seeds of life planted within a womb are repeatedly slaughtered. But our faith must remain. If we are to move mountains soften the countless hardened hearts we must rely on God. And we must pray.

When I heard that Nancy Pelosi was going to receive Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award at its annual coven this year, I was about as shocked as when I found out that President Obama “evolved” on so-called same-sex marriage last year.
On the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, marked by the coming March for Life in Washington D.C.
It is a sad moment in history when a government calls upon a lone woman to testify about contraception and attempts to tell the country she is representative of women. Where is the person they asked to testify about morality and about the sanctity of life? This deliberate attempt to alter morality and to squash the words and will of our Lord is becoming rampant today and the results are sickening. We must make our voices heard or this will not just be a fluke; it will be the norm.
