STOPP’s Latest Report Inspires Congressional Letter to DOGE

Late Monday, ALL’s STOPP learned that Congressman Andy Biggs, a representative of Arizona, would be writing a letter to DOGE calling for an investigation into Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding.

In his letter, Congressman Biggs cited the findings of STOPP’s most recent report on Planned Parenthood affiliate CEO salaries.

“Planned Parenthood received around $700 million in taxpayer funding in 2022-23, representing about 34% of their annual revenue, meanwhile, its executives pocket outrageous salaries,” stated Biggs in his letter to DOGE.

He continued, “A recent report [from American Life League] reveals that Planned Parenthood affiliate CEOs are making well into the six figures, with some earning nearly a million dollars per year, while the organization continues to kill unborn children. . . . I urge you to use your platform and resources to investigate Planned Parenthood’s financial practices, particularly how it justifies exorbitant executive salaries as the nation’s largest abortion provider.”

The letter was signed by Biggs and other Republican representatives and sent to Elon Musk.

The news broke in an exclusive from The Daily Wire. In a quote to The Daily Wire, American Life League national director Katie Brown Xavios praised the letter saying:

American Life League commends Congressman Andy Biggs and his fellow Republicans for taking a bold stand in the effort to defund Planned Parenthood. We are honored that our 2025 Report on Planned Parenthood CEO Compensation is igniting action in Washington. . . . We want to expose the organization’s greed as it pads its payroll, while exploiting vulnerable women. American Life League remains committed to supporting Representative Biggs and DOGE in the fight to end taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood once and for all.

This story and its impact are still developing.

American Life League Praises the Virginia March for Life

This past Wednesday, American Life League representatives traveled to Richmond, Virginia, for the annual Virginia March for Life.

The march was a positive and peaceful success, with a few thousand pro-lifers gathering for the event. The crowd was overwhelmingly filled with young people from schools and colleges across the state.

This year’s march was as important as ever, as Virginia lawmakers are attempting to rush through a bill that would add an abortion amendment to the state’s constitution.

The Planned Parenthood-backed abortion ballot initiative, HJR 1, is a state amendment that would enact the “fundamental right to reproductive freedom” into the state constitution.

Virginia already has some of the most liberal abortion laws in the country, allowing abortion at any time for any reason using loopholes in the current code of law. Virginia’s former governor also famously said that if a baby survives an abortion, the family and the doctor would decide whether or not to proceed. He stated, “The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

Join us in prayer for Virginia, and thank you to all the people who attended this year’s state march!

Michigan Planned Parenthood Facilities to Close by the End of This Month!

Planned Parenthood of Michigan announced in a press release on Wednesday that it is closing a total of four facilities, “reducing its brick-and-mortar footprint and reorganizing operations.” Two of the facilities in Ann Arbor, Michigan, will merge into one facility beginning May 2025, while the other three Michigan locations in Jackson, Petoskey, and Marquette will close their doors permanently at the end of April.

Paula Thornton Greear, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Michigan, expanded on the reasons for the closures within the press release: “The Trump administration and its anti-abortion allies have made clear their intention to defund Planned Parenthood and attack access to sexual and reproductive health care nationwide — so while these attacks are devastating, they are not a surprise.”

We know these facility closures are a result of the prayerful witness outside these facilities. Additionally, efforts from organizations and watchdogs like American Life League’s STOPP International expose the true evil of Planned Parenthood to concerned pro-lifers and even our nation’s leaders so that we all may take action to stop the abortion giant from continuing its insidious business model of profiting off the lives of aborted preborn children.

While STOPP International reported a total of 11 permanent closures and one temporary closure for Planned Parenthood facilities for the entirety of 2024, this latest news marks a total of 10 permanent Planned Parenthood facility closures and one temporary closure so far in just four months of 2025! Let’s keep these closure numbers growing through our commitment to action and prayer each day.

Here Are a Few Babies to Start Your Weekend

Last week we profiled a pro-abortion Colorado legislator who only sees babies as financial burdens. Such attitudes come as no surprise. Who can forget the Democratic presidential candidate who, back in 2008, told a Pennsylvania crowd that he didn’t want his daughters to be “punished with a baby”?

Marxists see killing babies as saving the planet. Normal people see babies as a blessing. So rather than profile the inanity of abortion advocates, here’s a reminder—nay, several reminders—why babies are just all-around awesome:

Have a good weekend. Hope you get to hug a baby!
