Pro-Life This Week: May 26, 2023

Hugh Brown, ALL executive vice president, has been announced as a guest speaker at this year’s National Men’s March to Abolish Abortion

The National Men’s March to Abolish Abortion and Rally for Personhood is officially set for Saturday, June 3, 9AM-12PM, in Albany, NY.

The Men’s March calls for men to “get off the sidelines and stand up for the full federal protection of the preborn without exception.”

Men will gather at 9AM outside the Planned Parenthood killing center (855 Central Avenue, 12206), where they will begin their march 2.6 miles to the New York State Capitol for the rally.

Women are invited to meet the march at the NYS Capitol at 10:45AM and join the rally (East Capitol Park, 82 Washington Avenue, 12210).

All participants are then invited to a post-rally luncheon and retreat at Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville (136 Shrine Road, 12072), where there will be a special guided tour of the sacred grounds, a Eucharistic Holy Hour with confessions available, and a 4PM Vigil Mass.

The evening before, on June 2, there will be a Men’s Retreat Night at the Shrine from 6-9PM in preparation for the events on June 3.

Week in Review – Anti-Catholic Drag Queens Invited to Dodgers Stadium; Retail Store Target Openly Targeting Children with Pro-Trans Clothing

The Los Angeles Dodgers have extended a formal invitation to the anti-Catholic hate group, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, whose mockery of Catholicism and sexualization of children is a long-standing practice.

The Dodgers issued a statement apologizing to the hate group for first redacting an invite to the stadium, and then formally invited them to attend a Pride-themed baseball game in June, as well as receive a community award.

Archbishop Gomez of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles called on Catholics and people of goodwill to stand against the anti-Catholic hate saying, “The Archdiocese of Los Angeles calls on Catholics and people of goodwill to stand against hate in any form after The Dodgers reinstated plans to honor the ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’ who were set to receive the Dodgers’ Community Hero Award.”

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are a group of drag queens who mock Catholic nuns and the Catholic faith. They are on record making a mockery of the faith, including performing a drag show dancing around someone posing as Christ on the Cross.

“What parent in their right mind would take their family to a Dodgers game ever again?” said ALL executive vice president Hugh Brown earlier this week in a statement. “Catholic parishes are being vandalized and firebombed, Catholic leaders are being targeted, and Catholic religious are being openly slandered in a way no other faith tradition must tolerate.

“Once again, anti-Catholicism remains the last acceptable prejudice,” said Brown.

San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone issued a statement on Twitter condemning the invitation. “Our Catholic sisters devote themselves to serving others selflessly. Decent people would not mock & blaspheme them,” said Cordileone. “So we now know what gods the Dodger admin worships. Open desecration & anti-Catholicism is not disqualifying. Disappointing but not surprising. Gird your loins.”

“The Los Angeles Dodgers can no longer argue that they didn’t know about this group’s hostility towards Catholics,” said Brown. “If these are the choices, then why should any Catholic family continue to subsidize people who openly hate us?”

The Dodgers are continuing the disturbing new trend of targeting Christians and children.

Popular retail store Target has also recently come under fire for launching a transgender clothing line for children. Items sold include baby onesies and toddler clothing with messages targeted at child grooming, and most disturbingly, “tuck-friendly” and “binding” swimsuits for children.

It was discovered that Target hired a company run by a self-proclaimed satanist to design a pro-trans line of clothing. The company, Abprallen, was found to design satanic- and demonic-themed apparel with tag-lines such as “Satan Respects Pronouns.”

Boycotts for Target have been announced nationwide. Companies that openly target children (pun intended), do not deserve our dollars.

Recent controversy concerning Target is nothing new. Several years ago, the retail giant waded into the waters of wokism by opening its women’s restrooms to men pretending to be them. Predators with voyeuristic tendencies rejoiced. They had a new venue to satisfy their perversion. We investigated the inherent problem with Target’s perverted policy back in 2016. Target is learning the hard truth—go woke, go broke.
