  • If you are in the Denver area next weekend, join fellow Catholics in a Eucharistic procession around Planned Parenthood and the surrounding area.
  • Seven additional Planned Parenthoods will close in early December. That makes over 50 closures this year!

By Katie Brown Xavios

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Catholics from across Northern Colorado, led by Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila, will converge on Planned Parenthood’s largest facility in the state to host a Eucharistic procession. They will carry the Blessed Sacrament around the facility in honor of Our Lord’s true presence and in an effort to reflect the value and dignity of all human life.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. at 7155 E. 38th Ave. and will conclude with Mass in the Marisol Health garden next to Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Lakewood.

A release on the event states, “Each year, the procession brings together hundreds of Catholics of all ages, united in the conviction that prayer is the most powerful response to the culture of death. With the Blessed Sacrament held high, participants walk in silence and song, entrusting mothers, fathers and unborn children to the mercy of Christ.”

This beautiful witness for life during the nationwide Respect Life Month also recognizes the work to be done in Colorado, which is one of the most pro-abortion states in the Union. Just last year, Colorado enshrined abortion into its state constitution.

The Denver Catholic explains:

“The Respect Life Office is filled with joy and anticipation for the upcoming Eucharistic Procession with Archbishop Aquila. This sacred time offers our community a beautiful opportunity to come together in witness and worship, united in our shared mission to be light in a darkened world,” said Jennifer Torres, community engagement coordinator for Respect Life Denver, a ministry of Catholic Charities. “As we walk with Christ truly present in the Eucharist, we are reminded that he calls us to be faithful, to carry hope and to boldly proclaim the dignity of every human life. We believe that a deepened devotion to the Eucharist has the power to transform hearts and ultimately renew a culture that too often chooses death over life. We invite all to come as they are, rest and pray with us.”

Join this joyful event and pray for both moms and babies!

On Monday, Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties announced that it will close seven of its facilities on December 10. This news means that Planned Parenthood’s temporary defunding has led to 51 total closures in 2025, setting the record for the most facilities closed in a single year.

These California closures are especially exciting because all seven facilities commit abortions. Six of the locations offer abortion pills to mothers through both scheduled and walk-in appointments. The San Bernardino facility also commits surgical abortions, killing babies up to 21 weeks and six days old. When these businesses close their doors, lives will be saved!

As with every other closure this year, however, Planned Parenthood is using this development as a PR opportunity. It bemoans the services it can no longer provide, using the outrage it provokes to distract from a crucial fact: If Planned Parenthood truly cared about its low-income customers and wanted to continue receiving Medicaid funding to provide these services, it simply would just stop killing preborn babies.

Unsurprisingly, Planned Parenthood Federation of America quickly denied rumors that it was open to this option. But soon after, PP of Wisconsin announced that it was pausing its abortion services. A PPFA executive then shared that the organization might allow some affiliates to cease abortions to requalify for Medicaid reimbursements, but only if another PP affiliate could kill preborn children in the same area.

Pro-lifers know that Planned Parenthood will always place its greed and bloodlust over everything else, but we shouldn’t waste this opportunity to remind the public of the organization’s twisted priorities. We will only permanently defund Planned Parenthood and close all its facilities when the world recognizes the organization for the evil it is.
