Planned Parenthood Facility Closures May Not Be the Good News We Think It Is

You might have missed a bit of good news from early August. The New York Times reported that the Manhattan Planned Parenthood would cease performing abortions. What a wonderful message that, at the center of Sin City, abortions would no longer be performed in that facility. The news is the kind that STOPP loves to read.
And the Times coverage seemed to reveal even better news: “The move was the latest sign of financial struggles for Planned Parenthood’s New York chapter, which also plans to close four clinics around the state, including its sole clinic on Staten Island.”
Financial struggles and closing facilities. Great news all around.
But wait one second. At this moment in the killing history of Planned Parenthood, looks can be deceiving and headlines can be meant to distract us from the truth. Planned Parenthood is ceasing the performance of surgical abortions in many facilities because it is expensive and it has risks for the doctors and others. So, yes, closing facilities is good. But more importantly, Planned Parenthood has moved quickly to providing chemical abortions and delivering the killing via the US Postal Service.
Pulling back from good news like the announcement of closures in places like Manhattan, Missouri, and other states, STOPP comes to this realization. The closures are really meant to distract people from the truth that the killing has increased and that Planned Parenthood is exploiting all the laws and the lackadaisical elected officials.

One more detail that cuts against the New York Times propaganda article is this: The Biden administration and allies in Congress, including so-called pro-life Republicans, have continued to fund Planned Parenthood to the tune of nearly $1 billion per year. They will be looking at funding PP again in December. Will our elected officials stand up and STOPP the killing? And will the voters stop electing those who give our money to Planned Parenthood? We hope and pray they all will.
Planned Parenthood to Open Its Own Pharmacy

Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio announced via social media that it would soon open a “first-of-its-kind community pharmacy.” The Planned Parenthood pharmacy will be conveniently located next door to its blood-money facility in Akron, OH. Operating five days a week, this new extension of Planned Parenthood will only add to more destruction of human life in Ohio.
A closer look at PPGO’s website highlights that among “a wide range of prescription medications,” the pharmacy will offer “gender-affirming hormone therapy medications.” In fact, hormone therapies are mentioned numerous times throughout the website, including in a “Frequently Asked Questions” section. When asked if PP does provide these “therapies” at PPRx, the website states, “Yes, the PPRx Pharmacy is a welcoming space for medication therapy management and counseling services for gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) patients.”
Additionally, while Planned Parenthood of Akron claims it does not perform abortions, its new pharmacy next door will fill prescriptions for abortion pills whether they are from a local doctor or via a telehealth prescription that has been directly mailed to the pharmacy. Just as every Planned Parenthood facility stands as a front for “healthcare,” this so-called pharmacy is just a front for “medicine,” as it prescribes drugs to kill preborn babies and hands out hormone drugs to mutilate one’s body.
Planned Parenthood never ceases in its efforts to destroy human life and corrupt human dignity. Knowing this, we should keep in mind the words of St. Peter to “be sober and vigilant [for] your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for [someone] to devour.”
