Our Sunday Visitor (OSV) devoted four pages to vital organ transplantation (8/19/2012), mostly in promotion of organ “donation.
The author wrote this article for a persuasive speech she gave in her advanced-placement English class in her junior year of high school. Her grade was 48 out of 50 (two points were deducted only for voice clarity, not content).
Organ-robbing is something that, in polite company, is referred to as organ donation or organ removal from a “dead” body or some similar term.
Because organ donors are often alive when their organs are harvested, the medical community should not require donors to be declared dead
If you were to compare a dead body with a “brain dead” body, you would find that the dead body is pale, cold, stiff, and unresponsive.
