Big Abortion flourishes because not all human beings are valued. Big Abortion flourishes because a preborn baby’s life is not given the respect it deserves. Today’s hedonistic and selfish society cannot seem to grasp the horror that, with every abortion, a preborn baby is slaughtered. Can we combat this? There are ways.
It is with profound sadness that we must, once again, present the true facts about the dangers of contraception,” said Judie Brown, president of American Life League.
The destruction of the family is one of the greatest disasters of the last century. It has happened subtly, almost silently, and now we are left with the carnage. How will we alter the path that so many seem so willing to travel? Will we raise our voices in protest? If we want to make changes and save lives and souls, we must.

Is a Catholic politician morally obligated to oppose the legal distribution of contraceptives? That question has come to the fore because of a surprisingly contentious Congressional campaign in Virginia.
Love the sinner, hate the sin. That is something we are taught from the time we are children. But, in today’s society, we are now taught to tolerate the sin, embrace the sin, or even advocate for the sin. If we dare to mention that a type of behavior is sinful, we are castigated and branded intolerant. As we regularly see, Catholic clergy often do not give voice to God’s word and God’s will. Consequently, we now live in a society where it is the peoples will that rules. Why have we silenced God?
Catholic bishops and clergy have a responsibility to not only make their voices heard, but to teach those of the Catholic faith how to use their own voices. This means that the clergy must instruct and teach regularly about Catholic tenets and doctrine, yet we do not see this. As we see a continuing moral decline in our country, we realize now more than ever that we need to hear a roar rather than a whimper.
Forty-one years have passed since the Supreme Court took away the rights of an innocent class of people and allowed them to be killed at will. Forty-one years of suffering have ensued. In addition to the millions of babies murdered, countless families ;mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, and other family members must live daily with the tragic loss of a child killed before he was born. But it is not too late to change minds and hearts to open them to a love for each and every human being. It is never too late to teach human beings how to love one another.
Two cases coming before the Supreme Court are a reflection of the morality inherent in our society today. Rampant sexuality and the use of contraceptives seem to be the new norm. And many think their right to contraceptives should be provided by our tax dollars. What example will the court provide?

It’s ironic to watch the American Catholic bishops and our Church being devoured by those they fear, by the very people whose potential scorn and criticism have such power over so many of these men that the very thought of being labeled or persecuted by them seems to frighten them into practically abandoning Christ.
It is a sad moment in history when a government calls upon a lone woman to testify about contraception and attempts to tell the country she is representative of women. Where is the person they asked to testify about morality and about the sanctity of life? This deliberate attempt to alter morality and to squash the words and will of our Lord is becoming rampant today and the results are sickening. We must make our voices heard or this will not just be a fluke; it will be the norm.
Estelle Griswold was a Planned Parenthood physician. The case was Griswold v. Connecticut and it was 1965.
