As the new year begins, let us resolve to be more fervent in our efforts to teach Christ’s truths and to spread His love to all.
Sometimes information that forms our intellectual understanding of the human person requires that we take a step back and revisit the writings that help us come to the proper conclusion that human personhood begins when the human being begins, at his biological beginning.
Though confusion has seemed to emanate from recent actions out of Rome, we understand that Christ is in charge. He will be our refuge.
A few years ago, the National Catholic Reporter published a commentary under the title “Status of Abortion, Death Penalty in Catholic Teaching Makes Little Sense.”
Catholic universities should educate and lead today’s youth, while preparing their souls for heaven. However, recent actions show that these institutions may actually be leading them astray.
Man wants to be so independent that he is leaving God out of more and more of his life. We push Him aside, searching for what’s fun for the here and now, and not really caring about morality, about other people, or even our own well-being. What happens to a society that lives like this? What happens to our souls?
