Catholics for Choice Strikes Again, Takes Aim at the Blessed Mother

The pro-abortion anti-Catholic group ironically named Catholics for Choice has designed a Christmas sticker implying that the Blessed Mother had the right to an abortion.

Catholics for Choice has always openly mocked the Catholic faith, but this is a new low. On a page asking people to vote for their favorite Christmas stickers, the first sticker reads, “Mary Had a Choice, You Should Too.” The text is laid around a nativity scene.

This sticker is obviously offensive to our Blessed Mother but also to all Christians who believe that the birth of Christ was the single most sacred and holy event to happen on this planet.

Catholics for Choice seems to have a running theme of attempting to cheapen Catholicism and what it stands for by continuously undermining the doctrine of the faith it claims to partake in.

To be very clear, no Catholic can support the murder of innocent preborn children. And no Catholic can take cheap shots at our Blessed Mother and the birth of Christ with a demonic Christmas sticker.

Hugh Brown Responds to Removal of Bishop Strickland

Hugh Brown, ALL executive vice president, responded to Bishop Strickland’s removal from his pastoral governance of the Diocese of Tyler. In an interview with American Family News, Hugh stated that, while the news is disappointing, we don’t know all the facts and need to humbly pray for the Church.

“We don’t know the facts; we don’t know the details. We know what Bishop Strickland has said, and he’s asked us to be humble,” Brown relays. “He’s asked us to pray for the Holy Father. He’s asked us to pray for him and to pray for the Catholic Church, and that’s what we fully intend to do.”

Strickland was asked by the pope to step down from his role as bishop; according to Vatican News, he was replaced by Bishop Joe Vásquez of Austin, who is serving as apostolic administrator.

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development Is Still Broken

Many years ago, American Life League exposed the Catholic Campaign for Human Development for providing grants to organizations promoting abortion, homosexual lifestyles, and contraception. Why was the USCCB’s anti-poverty program issuing grants to anti-Catholic organizations?

Following our report, the CCHD promised an internal review for awarding grants. We are sad to say that the CCHD has ignored its own directives; to this day it still funds groups that oppose Catholic teaching.

American Life League began digging into the CCHD over a decade ago. Below is the original report that uncovered failure by the CCHD. Let it serve as a warning. Until the CCHD stops funding anti-Catholic organizations, faithful Catholics should not hand over one penny to the annual parish collection.
