Action Alert: Tell Pharmacies: DON’T Carry the Abortion Pill!
While Costco claims that it based its decision on a lack of demand for the pills (and we pray that is and continues to be true!), we know that your phone calls, letters, social media posts, protests, and prayers all made the difference. And we know that your prayers and actions can do it again.
Today, mothers who have a prescription to kill their babies can walk into any CVS, Rite Aid, or Walgreens to purchase mifepristone (the first of the two pills in the abortion pill regimen). These retailers might find the demand high enough to carry it, but we know that they will not welcome the negative attention, persistent communication, and unrelenting pressure from pro-lifers demanding that they remove the abortion pill from their stores.
Additionally, other major retailers are under pressure to start carrying the deadly drug at their locations. Abortion advocates, including politicians, are demanding that Kroger, Walmart, Sam’s Club, and other stores add mifepristone to their pharmacies.
Pro-lifers know just how loud and violent pro-abortion voices can be. It is up to us to make our voices and demands even harder to ignore. Lives depend on it.
American Life League is rallying our supporters to contact these pharmacies and let them know that the abortion pill isn’t welcome on any shelves, especially those meant to hold lifesaving medication.
Using the contact information below, we encourage you to call, email, and send letters to share your opposition to the sale of the abortion pill. Your message can be as simple as “I urge you not to sell mifepristone at your pharmacy. This deadly drug does not deserve a place at your fine establishment.”
If you shop at these retailers, you can also share that you will move your business elsewhere if the store sells the drug. Pro-life victories are the result of relentless action. Will you take five minutes today to score more wins for babies and their moms?

Abortion Facility in Washington, DC, Temporarily Stops Scheduling Abortions
The Washington Surgi-Clinic in Washington, DC, has made headlines once again and this time for its facility’s current halt in scheduling abortion appointments. The Survivors Inc., a pro-life activist group that has been monitoring both this facility and its infamous abortionist Cesare Santangelo, posted a press release on Tuesday detailing the current situation of both the abortion facility and Santangelo.
Santangelo has had several malpractice lawsuits and complaints against him, and he is known for his staunch support and practice of abortion at all gestational ages at his abortion facility. Most notably, he is known for the death and discarding of 115 aborted preborn babies found by pro-life activists outside the Surgi-Clinic in 2022. Five of these babies were fully formed and appear to have been killed after birth (partial-birth abortion) by Santangelo at this facility.
According to the recent release, members of The Survivors who protest outside the facility noticed that Santangelo had been absent from the building for weeks this summer. CatholicVote reported that The Survivors then saw Santangelo entering the facility in August but was not in good mental or physical condition. One of the members described him as looking “dazed [and] confused” and said that “he couldn’t walk without help from his cane and caretaker, his right arm was in a full cast, and clinic staff met him at the door with a wheelchair.”
This led The Survivors to file a formal complaint with the DC Board of Medicine on August 18, 2025, voicing concerns about Santangelo’s physical and mental capabilities, while reintroducing the numerous lawsuits against him and the facility for investigation.
The Survivors then called the Washington Surgi-Clinic to ask for an abortion appointment, to which they were informed that the clinic is “not currently taking appointments and she [the receptionist] is only in the office to refer people to the national abortion federation hotline.” The receptionist indicated that they “hope” to have abortion appointments resume at the facility by the end of September.
While Santangelo has largely been ignored by authorities and the DC Medical Board up until this point, this news is hopeful that this facility of death could be on its way to closure for good. We pray wholeheartedly for an end to the death of preborn babies and their mothers. We also pray and join other pro-lifers in demanding that the DC Medical Board and authorities thoroughly investigate and prosecute Santangelo for his active participation in murder.
Update: As of 9/4/25, pro-lifers received confirmation from DC Health that Washington Surgi-Center’s license expired on August 10, 2025. The Survivors US are asking pro-lifers everywhere to call the Compliance Manager at the DC Department of Health to voice your concerns and ask that they not grant Washington Surgi-Center a new license.
Call Lisa Robinson, Compliance Manager at DC Department of Health, at
(202) 724‑8800 and demand that Surgi’s license not be reinstated.

Hello, my name is [NAME]. I’m calling to voice my opposition to the Washington Surgi‑Clinic receiving a renewed license to operate. I read the 14‑page report filed against them, and I’m appalled that they were allowed to practice medicine. For the sake of all patients in Washington, DC, please do not grant them a new license. Thank you.

St. Carlo Acutis: Extraordinary in the Ordinary teaches high school students about the short yet impactful life of St. Carlo Acutis. Carlo is a phenomenal example to today’s teens, as he lived a life focused on God and on doing good for those around him. Not only did he use his exceptional computer skills to create a website cataloging the Catholic Church’s approved Eucharistic miracles, but he fed the poor, helped clothe the homeless, spoke in favor of chastity and against abortion, and he taught catechism classes to young people. Carlo’s life exemplifies how living an ordinary life focused on God and Church teachings can become extraordinary because of faith, love of Jesus in the Eucharist, and generosity toward others. To celebrate his canonization, this lesson booklet is on sale for just $3! ORDER HERE

VIDEO: Personhood for the Preborn and the Mistakes of the Pro-Life Movement
Does the life of the preborn child fit under the protections of the US Constitution? That question must be answered in order for the personhood of the preborn child to be recognized. However, several personhood efforts have fallen short due to the language presented in these bills. Furthermore, most voters do not fundamentally understand the question of personhood presented before them.
Judie Brown joins Life Matters with host Brendan O’Connell to answer important questions related to the personhood and the pro-life movement:
- How have the efforts to recognize the personhood of preborn human beings gone wrong?
- What do personhood efforts need to do to succeed?
- How has the pro-life movement failed?
- Is the aim of personhood to outlaw abortion?
- Does personhood eliminate birth control and IVF?
