Week in Review – Planned Parenthood closing some centers while getting sex education funding from the government
Sadly, the Department of Health and Human Services is still awarding new grants to fund sexuality education research. In its latest round of grants, which became effective this month, it gave $2 million over three years to Planned Parenthood of the Heartland. These programs are ineffective, at best, and many lead to more teens becoming pregnant. You may recall that soon after Trump became president, HHS tried to stop a funding program for sexuality education research. The Obama administration had given multi-year grants to Planned Parenthood and others and Trump tried to shorten those grants and stop them after one year. The administration was sued and a judge ruled the administration had to continue paying until the end of the contract. However, the current funding appears to be brand new and will provide PP Heartland with funding for three more years.
Pro-abortion leaders vow to keep up the fight against the Little Sisters of the Poor. Despite the Supreme Court ruling last week, those that want to force Catholic institutions to pay for birth control are vowing to continue the fight. Dr. Herminia Palacio, president of the reproductive rights research and policy organization the Guttmacher Institute, wrote that the “SCOTUS decision on the ACA’s birth control benefit is dangerous & could impact contraceptive coverage for hundreds of thousands of people,” Palacio added that this ruling is “just the latest in a pattern of attacks” on reproductive healthcare. Alexis McGill Johnson, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America—the nation’s largest abortion chain—tweeted: “This is not over. We will do everything we can to ensure those who need birth control and other sexual and reproductive health care can access it — no matter who you work for, where you go to school, how much money you make, or the color of your skin.”
The Illinois Times reported this week that Kelley Foxx, a member of Planned Parenthood Illinois Action’s board of directors, reported that “Planned Parenthood … had recently taken the advocacy position to defund police and provided context: “There’s a fraught relationship between particularly Black people and brown people and the police,” he said, making the point that the origin of police was the patrol of enslaved people.
The current pandemic continues to disrupt Planned Parenthood’s physical operations. It recently announced its second clinic closure (this one in Elkhart, IN) and the closure of a third (in West Hollywood, CA) later this year. Planned Parenthood also has temporarily ceased operations at another three dozen facilities for various reasons. It appears that a number of these will never reopen. Let us keep praying that the pandemic will see an ever-increasing number of Planned Parenthood closures.
Congressman asks Smithsonian to remove bust of Planned Parenthood’s racist founder/July 15, 2020 (LifeSiteNews): As left-wing activists march across the United States to destroy monuments to historical figures with any real or perceived connection to racism, a Republican lawmaker is calling on the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery to remove its bust of Planned Parenthood founder and notorious eugenics supporter Margaret Sanger. “As our nation struggles to address racial injustice, it is unconscionable that an avowed racist and eugenicist is featured so prominently,” Rep. Russ Fulcher of Idaho’s First District wrote in a June 25 letter to Smithsonian Secretary Lonnie G. Bunch III. “Ms. Sanger is not the kind, inspirational figure you refer to when you talk about challenging our nation ‘to live up to its founding ideals’.”

Video of the Week – Query: Miscarriage and Fetal Tissue Research
Many pro-life organizations supported a proposal to regulate abortion facilities under the guise of “protecting women.” The Supreme Court decided a few weeks ago that the regulation was unconstitutional.
We examined 20 press releases from pro-life organizations that used the terms “baby” and “mother” when referring to the Court’s decision. We were shocked by the results.
Also, can a mother donate her miscarried baby for vaccine research?
Action Item of the Week – Sign and spread the online petition for ethical COVID-19 vaccines
Things are heating up in the effort to get a vaccine for COVID-19. Companies are making announcements about starting human trials in the near future. Of course, an actual virus ready for use in humans on a mass scale is still a ways off. BUT, it is essential that we pay attention NOW!
A number of the proposed vaccines are unethical. They are based on research using aborted fetal cell lines. We do not want those approved.
The good news is that Children of God for Life, the vaccine experts, reports that there are numerous companies that are developing ethical vaccines that do not use the objectionable aborted fetal cell lines.
NOW IS THE TIME for all pro-lifers to speak out and sign a petition demanding that the US approve only ethical vaccines.
ADD YOUR NAME TO THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT WHERE THE VACCINES COME FROM!
The development of lifesaving vaccines should NEVER require the sacrifice of preborn children. Stand with millions of Americans across the country and sign the petition today to tell government officials NO to funding a coronavirus vaccine developed using aborted baby fetal cell lines!
Sign the petition and receive a link to Children of God for Life’s FULL list of ethical and unethical COVID-19 vaccines currently under development.
Be informed, spread the word, and let thousands of voices be heard.
Pro-life Social Media – ‘Unbelievable’: Billion-Dollar Planned Parenthood Steals Millions in Federal Aid
The Payroll Protection Program was passed by Congress to provide small business loans to help employers. Small businesses, not small loans. Planned Parenthood’s affiliates make millions and employ hundreds making the abortion violence empire ineligible. Last week it was discovered that almost all Planned Parenthood affiliates received federal aid totaling between $66 million and $151 million. Imagine how much $151 million could have done for real businesses had Planned Parenthood not stolen it?
Here’s the list of Planned Parenthood affiliates that stole between $66 million – $151 million in Payroll Protection Program money from taxpayershttps://t.co/apSwaImF75

unbelievable

I seem to have missed the @AP story on the $80 million in PPP loans Planned Parenthood wrongly took. Weird.
— Jordan Haverly (@jhaverly) July 10, 2020
Not weird. The media loves Planned Parenthood. Hopefully some Washington lawmakers are urging an investigation.
It’s outrageous that Planned Parenthood affiliates illegally took $150 million in loans from the #PaycheckProtectionProgram. These loans should be returned immediately, and I’m urging AG Barr to investigate this matter fully. There has to be accountability. pic.twitter.com/Bfa6ul2b34

“Who authorized these loans to be made when it was clear they didn’t meet the affiliation rules?”
— Family Research Council (@FRCdc) July 15, 2020
Sen. @marcorubio explains why Planned Parenthood affiliates should not have been approved for @SBAgov loans they received in the Paycheck Protection Program.https://t.co/UqxbRi0YtN
I hope that you will ask them to return it.
— Linda Ennen (@imtan2) July 15, 2020
Ask? How about demand it back or else get shut down?
Wow.
— Family Research Council (@FRCdc) July 8, 2020
In the @SBAgov report of Paycheck Protection Program recipients, FRC found:
-43 Planned Parenthood affiliates = $150M in loans
-21 independent abortion centers = $13M in loans
The killing businesses’ borrowed a whopping $162 million from Uncle Sam! https://t.co/UzaxL49hVV
Mom can you tell me the story of how you bought my pod at IKEA again?
— BusyBard (@busiestbard) July 2, 2020
Gen Z will probably be the last “human” generation. Nothing left but vacuous, infantile bug-creatures, so far as I can see.
— Dirge Van Delen (@SemyonoR) July 2, 2020
That’s the danger of our age.

Scientist prevails with no real understanding of psychology.
So even the mom-and-pop-chop-shops took the money. Disgusting.
