Planned Parenthood Affiliates in Florida Merge into One
This week, Planned Parenthood’s two affiliates in Florida made the announcement via X that they would be combining into one new affiliate: Planned Parenthood of Florida. The X post read: “Big news! Planned Parenthood of Southeast & North FL + Southwest & Central FL have joined forces. We’re now @PP_Florida-united for bigger, better, bolder care across the state.”
This announcement comes after the news that Planned Parenthood will lose Medicaid funding for one year under the Trump administration’s Big, Beautiful, Bill. It is also the second Planned Parenthood affiliate merger just this year, with Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood consolidating into Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho in April, leaving a new total of 47 Planned Parenthood affiliates across the United States.
On its updated website, Planned Parenthood of Florida states that it now has a combined 17 facilities within the state and even offers “services” through its virtual center. Additionally, an article in Sarasota Magazine states that Planned Parenthood of Florida will be adding more days, hours, and telehealth options for people in person and online:
The new Planned Parenthood of Florida is expanding its access by expanding both service days and daily hours at several of its health centers, along with providing more telehealth options, to address increased need throughout the state and the social and economic factors affecting its patients’ well-being.
While Planned Parenthood calls the latest merger “big news,” we know this is not good news for the abortion organization as it attempts to maneuver and rearrange its affiliates and facilities due to the financial strain it will likely experience within the next year.
STOPP, American Life League’s Planned Parenthood watchdog, believes we will see this trend of affiliate and facility consolidation continue within the coming months.
The ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ Defunds Planned Parenthood for One Year
On July 4, President Trump signed into law the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which will prohibit Medicaid reimbursements from going to abortion providers for a single year. As of Monday, a federal judge paused the decision, placing a temporary restraining order on the bill.
However, as it stands, the bill allows for exceptions, meaning that if the abortion is done in a case of rape, incest, or mother’s health, a provider can still receive a reimbursement.
This decision leaves me with mixed feelings. On one hand, defunding Planned Parenthood even for one day is a good thing, but on the other, I know this is a decision rooted in politics.
You see, if defunding abortion providers were done because our lawmakers truly thought abortion was evil, then they would have defunded them entirely. This was not done because our lawmakers love the preborn or value their lives, it was done as a political chess move.
In the original text, the bill was set to defund abortion providers for 10 years and was changed to just one single year. While we don’t know what conversations happened on the Senate floor, this proves to me that this was not done for the babies. Not only was the bill shrunk to only 12 months, but it still allows for babies to fall victim to the exceptions clause.
For years, Planned Parenthood has preyed on exceptions. We know that every single baby, regardless of his or her creation, is unique and valuable, but Planned Parenthood doesn’t care. If a mother tells Planned Parenthood she is scared or cannot afford to have a baby, instead of comforting her and offering life-affirming options, they can classify her abortion as “detrimental to the mother’s health.” This counts as an exception.
To make it clearer, some outlets propose that in the United States right now, there are 17 “pro-life” states. These states have abortion bans that all contain exceptions. And yet, abortion rates are higher now than they were before Roe v. Wade was overturned.
How is that possible with 17 “pro-life” states? It’s because exceptions are deadly and undermine the value of the preborn.
If we can excuse the death of one, we can excuse the death of many.
So, how are we as pro-lifers supposed to feel? It’s still objectively good that Planned Parenthood loses money, but do not be fooled into believing this is a win.
There is more to be done now than ever before. Our primary responsibility is turning hearts to the truth that all babies, regardless of their creation, are valuable and loved.
We can do this by sharing the truth with those around us and offering real help when the time comes.
ALL and STOPP stay totally committed to ending Planned Parenthood once and for all. Along with our advocacy, there has to be prayer. Please take some time today and pray for the women and men who work for Planned Parenthood. Pray that their hearts will be changed and that the Holy Spirit will move them.
If you haven’t already, sign up for ALL’s Marian Blue Wave. This simple prayer group commits to pray one rosary a week for the total closure and end of Planned Parenthood.
ALL in the News
Following the passing of the Big, Beautiful Bill, ALL national director Katie Brown Xavios released a statement criticizing the fact that the bill only defunded Planned Parenthood for a single year, instead of the 10 originally proposed. Her comments were featured in articles by Breitbart and The Washington Stand. Her comments also reached the international scale and were featured by Daily Compass, an international Catholic media outlet.

Feminist Actress Wants to Make Abortion Great Again
It wasn’t that long ago when abortion advocates rebuked pro-lifers for coining the term “pro-abortion.”
“Nobody is PRO-abortion!” they wailed.
Actresss Cynthia Nixon, costar of the HBO series Sex and the City, proves pro-life advocates were correct all along.

Nixon’s sentiments aren’t any different than Nazi Germany’s eugenic laws of the 1940s. Abortion was decriminalized to cull the populations of people deemed unfit for human reproduction, namely women who lacked Nixon’s pigmentation.
Democrats have always supported abortion, but there was a time where they considered it a somber event not something that should be celebrated.

What sort of person celebrates the snuffing out of the life of an innocent child?
A PRO-ABORTION person.
What a deranged thing for her to promote.

At least they admit it’s not about what they always claim: The health of the mother, rape, or incest. It’s literally about just killing babies for convince because some women can’t take responsibility for their actions.

Whatever happened to “safe, legal, and rare”?
— Melissa Blasek (@MelissablasekNH) July 5, 2025
They were never about making it safe, legal, and rare. Just legal.
Killing babies is not nothing to be proud of, its a darkness in people's hearts.
