Pro-Life This Week: June 23, 2023

ALL’s Marian Blue Wave program asks Catholics to pray one rosary a week to end all types of abortion and shut down every Planned Parenthood facility.

To date, MBW has reached about 10,000 prayer partners across the country and around the world! This devout community of faithful Catholics and other Christians are united by their weekly prayers for Our Lady’s intercession.

There is no better time than this summer to join the MBW and commit to being part of this peaceful and prayerful effort to end abortion.

As Judie Brown asks, “What would our nation look like if Catholics prayed the rosary every week for an end to abortion?” That is the Marian Blue Wave!

Week in Review – One Year after Dobbs, ALL Calls for Equal Protection Under the 14th Amendment

One year ago, on June 24, 2022, the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the infamous case that federally legalized abortion. The decision returned the matter of legalized abortion back to the states—in turn, creating 50 very messy battles.

In reflecting on the one-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe, American Life League released a statement not celebrating the decision, but instead calling for equal protection for the preborn under the 14th amendment.

Roe v. Wade was a grave injustice,” says ALL executive vice president Hugh Brown. “It was an intentional deceit from the depths of the Washington, DC, political swamp. From 1973 to 2022, 65,000,000 children died from abortions. The Dobbs decision was an opportunity to recognize that at the moment of our creation we are human beings guaranteed with the right to life and deserving of the same protections every American is guaranteed under the 14th Amendment. The Dobbs decision failed to be courageous. Abortion is an American addiction. We fund it, we defend it, we protect it, and we have enshrined it as a sacrament in our culture of death. Lost in all the chaotic, nonsensical language and arguments used to defend and protect abortion is the very real fact that a baby dies each and every time an abortion is performed.

“We do not celebrate Dobbs. We pray for this generation to wake up and recognize that every human being ever born on this planet—from the beginning of time to the dark, evil day in 1973 when Roe was enshrined by human beings with evil intent to today and always—is a human being at every moment and at all times.”

It has been one year since the demise of the Roe and Doe decisions decriminalizing preborn child killing. The Supreme Court ruled those decisions to be unconstitutional, and yet SCOTUS refused to clarify the humanity of the preborn child. With the murder of preborn children being a decision left for states to decriminalize, pro-life organizations are adopting what they call “the new dream” as the movement moves to protect all preborn children.

What is this new dream? It’s the dream of the movement’s earliest leaders. It’s the strategy of lawmakers in the early 1970s. Confused yet? Watch.
