Special Olympics Continues to Provide Vouchers for Contraceptives for Special Olympians
In a recent review of Special Olympics—a 501(c)(3) organization—American Life League discovered that this charity, in partnership with CVS’ Minute Clinic, is continuing to offer “Women’s Health” discount vouchers so that Special Olympians can access birth control, Depo-Provera injections, and HPV vaccinations. Yes, you read that correctly. ALL first came across this same voucher last year, which expired at the end of July 2024.
After we included this information about the organization on our Charity Watchlist, some of our supporters contacted Special Olympics with concerns about offering these “service” vouchers. However, Special Olympics did not listen and offers a current voucher for the same services; the voucher is set to expire on 7/31/2025.
We are asking you to help by contacting the national Special Olympics branch to respectfully share your concerns over this contraception voucher for the participants in these events.

Maine Moves to Protect Abortion Pill Dealers with New Bill; Ask Your Governor to Ban the Abortion Pill
This week, American Life League learned of a new bill that is headed to the desk of Maine’s governor, Janet Mills. The proposed bill would allow an abortion pill prescriber to call in abortion pills to a pharmacy without using his or her name, instead using only the name of their medical facility.
The bill is currently awaiting approval from the governor.
The move comes as just another way for abortion pill dealers to hide behind loopholes. As American Life League reported in the fall of 2024, online abortion pill drug dealers often encourage their customers to hide as much evidence as possible, including using a privacy browser and encrypted email while requesting pills. An abortion pill dealer hiding behind the name of a medical facility follows the same trend.
Las Libres, one of the main offenders listed on this report, encourages women to lie to their doctors and hide their abortion if they are experiencing excessive bleeding and need medical attention. This information can be found on their “Frequently Asked Questions” page. It states:
What if I go to the emergency room or see a medical provider? Tell all intake and medical staff that you think you’re having a miscarriage. Do not reveal that you took abortion medications—there is absolutely no way for them to know. The pills will not show up in blood tests or scans. ER staff can provide the appropriate post miscarriage medical care without knowing that you took pills. This also applies to interactions or consultation with your doctor or gynecologist: there is no need to tell them that your miscarriage was self-induced. To be on the safe side, you should erase messages and emails about your abortion from your phone (emphasis added).
Whether you live in Maine or elsewhere, American Life League is asking you to write to your governor and ask him or her to protect your state’s women and children and ban the abortion pill from your state.
If you need assistance writing a letter, contact American Life League for assistance. We are more than happy to draft the letter for you!

Archbishop Poses Thoughtful Question around Elon’s Many Children
Elon Musk may be the world’s richest man, but he doesn’t exude manliness by any stretch of the imagination. According to PageSix.com:
The Tesla mogul has at least 14 children with four women.
Musk welcomed six kids with his first wife, Justine Wilson, three with his ex-girlfriend Grimes, four with his Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis and reportedly another one with author Ashley St. Clair.
Having a lot of children isn’t an issue. Having children with so many women IS. This provoked Archbishop Cordileone of San Francisco to ask X an important question:
Question not criticism: Do we as men owe our children marriage (permanence, fidelity) to our children's mothers? Please discuss with great charity. https://t.co/CEOtchs1LV
— Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone (@ArchCordileone) June 4, 2025
The Catechism of the Catholic Church instructs that “children are the supreme gift of marriage and contribute greatly to the good of the parents themselves.”
Major marriage crisis in the world. Men don't want to commit. The Church needs to do better on calling forth ALL vocations and not just priestly ones. priests and religious come from solid marriages and men and women who are creating a culture of vocations.
— Alexis Walkenstein (@walkenstein) June 4, 2025
Christ said, “What God joined together, let no man separate.” Marriage isn’t just about us. It’s about the children who rely on that covenant for their security, identity, and spiritual formation. Men who remain faithful to their mother, remain faithful to the Father.

The most fatherly and loving thing a man can do is honor and cherish the mother of his children.

Coming from a family where my father was married and divorced 6 times, I’ve seen firsthand the negative consequences to families when fathers fail to do so.
— Catholic Frequency (@CatholicFQ) June 4, 2025
Fathers have a duty to provide a stable environment for their children’s emotional and spiritual development. Many of the…
. . . ills of our society come from divorce as broken families lead to a broken civilization. God bless all dads who make the sacrifices necessary to keep their family together.
Absolutely we do. People owe to children the stable and time-transcending family, because of the kinds of creatures we are. Animals have no history. We do. Children should be born into that great web of stable relationships extending far into the past and then into the future.

It is important that a child must be brought up in a properly ordered home to the best of the parent's ability
The success of a child is most accurately predicted not by financial freedom but by whether or not the parents were married when the child was conceived, and then stayed married. I’m a big Elon fan. I’m a big big family fan. I just pray for those kids. No Dad at home is bad.
— Curt (@cboltoniv) June 5, 2025
I think one of the biggest advantages we can give children is a whole family of a committed, married mother and father living together.
— Andy Garrison, MBA, CFP® (@AndyGarrisonKS) June 4, 2025
Imagine growing up with a mother and a father who love each other and stay loyal to each other through their entire lives. That is value that cannot be measured.
— Hey Buddy (@realheybuddy) June 4, 2025
Pope Francis called the family “the foundation of co-existence and a remedy against social fragmentation.” But how do we hold men accountable when their own families are as fragmented as Musk’s?
