American Life League Calls Out Planned Parenthood for Releasing Its Increasing Abortion Numbers Over Easter
American Life League is disheartened to see that abortion numbers andtaxpayer funding continue to rise for Planned Parenthood, as the abortion organization shared in its latest annual report over the Easter weekend.
Last year, Planned Parenthood released its annual report the day after Mother’s Day. This year, it quietly released its report with its increased funding from the government and rising abortion numbers during the holiest weekend of the year for Christians.
In its 2024–2025 annual report, Care Continues, Planned Parenthood resolved to fight against any “attacks” it faces from the current presidential administration. Yet the report shows a 5% increase in taxpayer funding from the prior year, totaling a whopping $832 million in government grants and reimbursements in 2025.
A review of Planned Parenthood’s numbers shows that its income increased, and only nine of its 22 “services” saw a decline. Abortion was certainly not on the decline, however, as Planned Parenthood reported that it committed 434,450 abortions in 2025—an 8% increase from last year’s number of 402,230. The organization still does not confirm whether these numbers include pill abortions, which could increase the total number of deaths by thousands.
Hugh Brown, American Life League’s vice president, commented on the rising number of abortions and how it correlates to the increase in Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer revenue. “Planned Parenthood’s reign of death and destruction increased in 2025. And despite its cries that our tax dollars were taken from it, the organization actually received a record amount of government funding last year. How? Because the government is a liar, and abortion is the unholy grail that Planned Parenthood and the US government worship,” Brown stated. “The work of American Life League has never been more needed or important. The deceivers and the killers of children are unchecked, and they must be stopped.”
Planned Parenthood proudly admits that its telehealth services went up 126% from 2024 to 2025, with 320,390 telehealth appointments and another 62,000 appointments scheduled through its virtual centers. The organization also boasted that mothers in nearly half of the states in the US were able to obtain abortion pills through these telehealth appointments.
American Life League researcher Katherine Van Dyke says this transition from in-person to virtual is nothing new for Planned Parenthood. “American Life League has been drawing attention to Planned Parenthood’s efforts to commit abortions over the Internet for nearly two decades now,” she said.
Jim Sedlak, the late director of American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood International program, reported that Planned Parenthood committed its first telehealth abortion in 2008, a trend that has continued to surge throughout its affiliates, especially following the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020.
“Unfortunately, we expect these numbers to increase as more facilities close and more money can be utilized to provide abortion pills and contraceptive drugs through the mailing system,” Van Dyke said. “This is all part of Planned Parenthood’s deadly strategy.” American Life League president Judie Brown said that Planned Parenthood’s annual report reminded her of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” She stated, “Hidden beneath the glass and the numbers is the actual truth that Planned Parenthood detests families as God designs them. It works tirelessly to market evil and promote it under the guise of ‘healthcare.’ In short, we cannot believe a word it writes. Shame on Planned Parenthood!”
Federal Judge Pauses Attempt to Restrict Mail-Order Abortion
Louisiana’s attempts to stop mail-order abortion were paused by the courts this week. In a ruling on Tuesday, a federal judge granted the Federal Drug Administration’s request to put the case on hold while the agency reviews the drug’s safety. This lawsuit, filed by Louisiana’s attorney general in October 2025, challenges the FDA’s rules that allow the abortion drug mifepristone to be sent through the mail.
Mifepristone is a dangerous drug that kills preborn babies and harms mothers. Its risks are so severe that the FDA restricts and monitors its use through a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy program. Under the REMS program, users and providers must follow specific rules to prescribe and obtain the drug. Out of the 20,000+ drugs approved by the FDA, mifepristone is one of only 74 considered dangerous enough for an REMS program.
Mifepristone’s original REMS rules required mothers to have an in-person exam and to take the drug in front of a physician. The FDA changed some of its rules in 2016 but kept this requirement. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it suspended the in-person requirement and allowed women to obtain a prescription for mifepristone through a telehealth appointment and mailed pills. The FDA made this change permanent in 2023.
Louisiana’s lawsuit argues that these changes are unlawful and reckless. The new rules allow abortionists in other states to facilitate abortions for mothers in Louisiana, despite its ban on both surgical and pill abortions. Additionally, abusers are using the lax requirements to force and coerce mothers into taking abortion pills, sometimes without their knowledge. The lawsuit includes a Louisiana mother who lost her baby after her boyfriend ordered abortion pills through the mail and coerced her into taking them.
We discussed this danger, as well as the other evils of the online abortion pill trade, in our report entitled Beneath the Surface: Exposing the Abortion Pill Drug Cartel.
US district judge David Joseph wrote that the lawsuit is “likely to succeed,” but he also determined that the FDA’s promised review of mifepristone’s safety should come before a legal ruling. He ordered the agency to file a report updating the court on the review process and its estimated completion within the next six months.
In December, however, Commissioner Marty Makary told the FDA to delay the review until after the midterm elections in November. The judge’s six-month deadline falls in October, so we will have to wait and see what happens next. We hope and pray that this lawsuit will successfully ban mail-order abortions, but we know that efforts to change hearts and minds are even more important. Keep fighting for the babies!
California Abortion Pill Bill Package Wants to Protect Abortionists and the Abortion Pill
The national pro-abortion group Reproductive Freedom for All announced that it is sponsoring three bills in California that would further protect abortionists and the abortion pill in the state. Additionally, the third bill would give college students more access to the abortion pill on college campuses.
These three bills are summarized by Reproductive Freedom for All’s California affiliate as follows:
AB 54 (Krell) will create additional protections for medication abortion in California, including protections for manufacturers, distributors, authorized health care providers and individuals from civil, criminal or professional liability.
AB 1973 (Aguiar-Curry) modernizes California law by expanding advanced practice clinician (APC) scope of practice laws to allow nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, and physician assistants to provide abortion care to the full extent of their education, training, and clinical competency.
AB 2540 (Stefani) expands access to medication abortion on community college campuses with existing health centers.
In other words, the legislators who proposed these bills and the big abortion businesses that are backing them want to make preborn child killing even more accessible than it already is in California. These heinous bills disregard the preborn child and his/her mother, all with the intention of expanding abortion for more profit.
We encourage Californians to act now and write to their delegates to tell them to vote on these deadly bills. We also encourage pro-life people in California to continue to pray for the defeat of these bills and for the conversion of hearts and minds for the people supporting abortion.

Culture of Life Studies Program
Living the Beatitudes: In this lesson booklet, students will learn about Jesus’ teachings from the Sermon on the Mount, specifically the Beatitudes. Through these teachings about who is considered blessed, children will learn important pro-life values and will start to build that necessary foundation so that they can become the next pro-life generation. How does learning the Beatitudes help lay this foundation? Jesus’ words and teachings contradict the culture that our children live in—a culture that tells them that the most revered people are the beautiful, the popular, and the rich. But Jesus helps us see that those things don’t matter, as He speaks of the true value of people. When children understand that, they begin to respect people for who they are rather than what they can do. This is a vital pro-life teaching, and it forms children into future adults who care for and protect the vulnerable. ORDER HERE

The Beauty of Marriage
St. John Paul II emphasized that holy matrimony is a sacred, indissoluble covenant. This mutual self-gift is foundational to a thriving family, society, and the Church. Wherever human sexuality is degraded, human dignity, families, and moral order are undermined. Cultural decay is inevitable.
A recent viral post on X/Twitter implies that marriage is like trimming the wings of a bird, who is no longer free to fly.You won't find a more accurate visual representation pic.twitter.com/Z7lCXArzxo

If you believe this then by all means don't get married but marriage isn't like that for many of us, in fact I found my wings were truly strengthened by my marriage to my husband.
