ALL Heads to Ohio for Annual Bringing America Back to Life Conference

Today through Saturday, American Life League reps will be in Ohio for the pro-life conference Bringing America Back to Life, hosted by Cleveland Right to Life.  The conference will give ALL the opportunity to hand out helpful resources and connect with people involved in the Ohio grassroots pro-life movement.

This year, the team will share with conference attendees how ALL’s newly updated Charity Watchlist can help them stay informed about what nonprofits support. So far, the CWL contains around 120 charities, with most of them categorized as red, meaning they oppose culture of life values.

If you are in Ohio and would like to attend the conference, find out more info on the website.

STOPP Applauds Missouri AG for Filing Lawsuit against Planned Parenthood

Last week, Missouri attorney general Andrew Bailey filed a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood Great Plains, accusing the abortion giant of trafficking minors across state lines for abortions.

STOPP director Ed Martin released a statement applauding the move. “Because we have known what Planned Parenthood has been doing under the cover of darkness and in secret, we are thrilled to see Attorney General Bailey step up to stop Planned Parenthood,” said STOPP director Ed Martin. He continued, “After Planned Parenthood is held criminally liable, we encourage all Americans to stop the federal funding of Planned Parenthood, which is $800 million per year. America is better than these secret killings and targeted abortions.”

The lawsuit is based on an undercover video produced by Project Veritas. It shows Planned Parenthood employees offering to pay for abortions for minors, as well as providing transportation and hotel stays. The employees even offer to lie to the minor’s school and provide a doctor’s note without a Planned Parenthood logo to get the child out of school without the parents’ knowledge.

AG Andrew Bailey says, “This is the beginning of the end for Planned Parenthood in the state of Missouri.”

On Tuesday, Katie Brown, ALL’s director of communications, was a guest on One America News Network’s evening program Tipping Point. Katie discussed the Missouri AG’s lawsuit against Planned Parenthood. A link to the full interview can be found here.

Judie Brown celebrated her 80th birthday on Monday! Catholic World Report penned a touching tribute to her influence on the pro-life movement. Read the article here.

Susan Ciancio, editor of Celebrate Life Magazine and director of the Culture of Life Studies Program, writes a weekly commentary on timely pro-life topics. This week her op-ed was published by LifeSiteNews.

Twice a week, Judie’s commentaries are distributed to an expansive media list. The list contains over 100 media outlets such as Fox News, The Federalist, Breitbart, and The Daily Caller, among others. Judie’s commentaries are each featured on the front page of ALL.org.

Culture of Life Studies Program

Without Mercy: An Introduction to Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide, and Other Threats to the Medically Vulnerable is a high school lesson for schools or homeschools that uses Church documents, the Catechism, and subject-matter experts to teach about euthanasia. Through discussion questions, case studies, real-life scenarios, essay questions, and small-group work, students will gain an understanding of euthanasia and assisted suicide and will learn how to articulate their beliefs so that they can stand up for those who are vulnerable or nearing the end of their lives. They will also learn the true meaning of terms like “quality of life,” “death with dignity,” and “brain death” so that when they encounter them as they grow, they will be well equipped to combat pro-death arguments. ORDER HERE

ALL’s Education Materials

Along with dozens of pro-life organizations, ALL has joined in signing a document protecting vulnerable and sick people. This document—Catholics United on Brain Death and Organ Donation: A Call to Action—explains the brain death diagnosis and why people who are brain dead are not actually dead. To help you understand this and to explain the dangers of organ donation, we have created two informative brochures.

Vital Organ Removal explains why you should not check the organ donation box on the driver’s license application. SHOP NOW

Catholic Relief Services: Still Broken 10 Years Later

Just because an institution puts “Catholic” in its name does not mean it is faithful to Catholic teaching. Organizations like the Catholic Health Association, the National Catholic Social Justice Society, and the National Catholic Reporter throw Catholic orthodoxy to the wind whenever the Marxist comrades in Washington throw their weight around.

Catholic Relief Services is no exception. The international humanitarian agency is best known for dumping thousands of its cardboard “rice bowls” into church vestibules and Catholic schools. If US bishops knew better, they would deny CRS their annual, Lenten second collection until it got its house in order.

Just this week, the Lepanto Institute released another damning report on CRS, explaining that its allies in Africa are distributing condoms and booklets promoting promiscuity.

That shouldn’t shock you, though. CRS’ problems are over a decade old.  Watch our original report below. What’s shocking is its failure to fix them. It doesn’t have to, though, because the USCCB isn’t going to hold CRS accountable.
