Pro-Abortion Professor Declines Promotion at Notre Dame

According to The Observer, the University of Notre Dame’s student-led newspaper, Susan Ostermann, a pro-abortion professor at the university, declined the promotion she was offered by the university. This follows just two days after Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend led around 50 faithful students, staff, and faculty of the University of Notre Dame in praying for the protection of human life and for the university to commit to its Catholic identity.

EWTN News reported that Bishop Rhoades led the rosary in the frigid temperatures at the university’s Grotto and prayed for “the cause of life and respect for all human life.” He continued, “We pray for the University of Notre Dame, and we ask for the powerful intercession of our Blessed Mother as she looks over this campus.”

Earlier this year, the university scandalously announced that it was promoting pro-abortion professor Susan Ostermann to director of the school’s Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies beginning July 1, 2026. Ever since the university announced this appointment, Catholics across the country have expressed outrage and disappointment because of Ostermann’s writings and statements supporting the murder of the preborn child through abortion and comparing pro-lifers to white nationalists.

Several bishops voiced their outrage and disappointment in Notre Dame’s decision. Most notably, Bishop Kevin Rhoades issued a letter that condemned the university’s decision and Osterman’s promotion of abortion. He also stressed the importance of Notre Dame’s commitment to Catholic teaching on life and the dignity of the human person.

An article in The Observer also announced that students had organized a peaceful demonstration to protest Ostermann’s appointment in a “March on the Dome” for Friday as well. Students from the university said they were inspired by Bishop Rhoades’ initial letter to organize the event. In an interview with Catholic Standard, one student said that he found it “fitting to include the bishop and to have him be able to lead us in prayer for our university . . . and have him be able to guide the students as we undergo a difficult test of our Catholic identity in the face of adversity from people within the university’s administration.”

This statement alone shows how critical it is for our shepherds to guide and lead their flocks in moral matters such as these, and how much we as Catholics look to them to do so. Additionally, the faith of these students, faculty, and staff is truly a testament to their commitment to the Catholic faith, to defending the preborn person in the womb, and to holding their university to the strong Catholic identity it was founded on.

While Ostermann is still employed as a professor at the Catholic university, it is by the grace of God and the prayerful witness of Bishop Rhoades and the lay faithful that she declined this offer.

Planned Parenthood Indoctrinates ASU Students with ‘Sex Week’ Event

Planned Parenthood knows that college campuses are a great place to reach and radicalize the next generation, particularly young women. Through its PP Generation Action network, the organization encourages sexual promiscuity while setting itself up as the solution to any unwanted outcomes, including STDs and pregnancy.

Just in time for spring break, Arizona State University’s PP Generation Action chapter is hosting a “Sex Week.” Throughout the five-day event, students will learn Planned Parenthood’s version of sexual education, which includes presentations on “reproductive rights,” hormone replacement therapy, and “queer care.” Two days are devoted to gender ideology, and one is focused on “all the things that Planned Parenthood really does.”

Wednesday’s “Own Ur Pleasure” day features a sex toy giveaway where students can receive “rose toys, dildos, lube, vibrators, handcuffs and blindfolds.” PPGEN is also giving away condoms and Plan B, an emergency contraceptive that kills preborn babies before they implant in the womb. Some of the partnering campus clubs include Devils in the Bedroom, Rainbow Coalition, Transfam, and the Young Democratic Socialists of America at ASU.

While students are marketing the event as cool and fun, the ideas it promotes are anything but. Planned Parenthood’s version of sexuality not only leads to abortion, broken hearts, wounded souls, and physical sickness, but it also fails to fulfill the God-given desire for intimacy and love.

This is why we fight for Planned Parenthood’s complete and utter end. This evil business murders babies, corrupts children, and grooms young people into destructive lifestyles that lead them back through its doors. We will only build a culture of life when PP and its ilk are nightmares of the past.

Priest Celebrates Mass in Front of San Fran Planned Parenthood

Defeating Planned Parenthood’s abortion/sex/contraception agenda is about defeating evil, not a political adversary. Spiritual weapons are necessary for eradicating the forces of darkness that seek out young minds for corruption. Despite decades of promises by Washington policymakers, Planned Parenthood is still collecting taxpayer money.

These Washington policymakers have been playing Lucy-and-the-football with the pro-life movement for decades. Rather than defunding Planned Parenthood of Medicaid, it has put a one-year hiatus on reimbursements. They just can’t get the job done.

Meanwhile, the real warriors against Planned Parenthood take the battle to its front doors.

The forces of light must be brought to the forces of darkness. The result might not be anything close to a Jericho fall, but don’t dismiss the possibility that computer systems fail, phone lines disconnect, and a depression fogs the minds of employees causing clerical errors to such magnitude that they require a temporary shutdown of operations. All of this can happen because brave priests engaged in spiritual combat.
