Pro-Life Movement Responds to Obama Inauguration at Historic Personhood Conference

WHAT: American Life League's Personhood Conference

WHEN: Jan. 23, 2009 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

WHERE: Liaison Hotel, Washington, D.C.

WHO: Pro-life leaders Judie Brown, president of American Life League; David Bereit, leader of the 40 Days for Life campaign; adult stem cell pioneer Dr. Theresa Deisher; Kristi Burton of the Colorado Personhood movement; and Live Action Films president Lila Rose.

WHY: Days after the inauguration of the most pro-abortion president in the nation's history, hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers from across the country descend on Washington, D.C. to respond with a message of personhood.

At ALL's Personhood Conference, the pro-life movement's most influential leaders explain the cultural and legislative necessity of recognition of all human beings as persons from the moment of creation until death.

"Personhood refocuses the pro-life movement on the issues of human rights and human dignity," said ALL President, Judie Brown. "It strikes at the root of all the cultural battles the pro-life movement has fought for the last 35 years in a way that flawed incrementalism never will. We're excited to herald the rejuvenation of the personhood movement – the last real battle in the civil rights movement."
