"Planned Parenthood, America's largest abortion chain, continues to end the lives of preborn children at an alarming rate," said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League. "With the release of the organization's latest 'service' numbers, we now know that in 2005, Planned Parenthood killed 264,943 preborn children through surgical and medical abortions. This means the abortion giant kills 5,095 babies in the womb every week in this country."
The newest numbers show that since the organization began performing abortions in 1970, Planned Parenthood has tragically snuffed out the lives of 4,068,749 children through abortion. "To put these numbers in perspective, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor killed 2,403 innocent people and the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 claimed 2,985 victims," said Sedlak. "This week alone, Planned Parenthood will kill more innocent human beings than were killed at Pearl Harbor or on September 11."
Most troubling about Planned Parenthood's operations is that American taxpayers are forced to underwrite its radical agenda. "Americans should demand that Planned Parenthood cease receiving tax funding at once," said Sedlak. "The government currently gives over $270 million in taxpayer money to the organization each year. We should not be forced to contribute to Planned Parenthood's attack on the preborn.
"Enough is enough," said Sedlak. "Planned Parenthood is a dangerous organization that makes millions of dollars by selling sex to kids and killing babies through abortion. It is time to bring this reign of terror to an end."
