Did Planned Parenthood protect teen?s rapist?

“Yet again, Planned Parenthood in Connecticut apparently failed to report to authorities when an underage girl had an abortion,” said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League. “This organization continues to promote abortion at all costs, even when it permits sexual predators to get away with rape.”

The case involves a runaway 15 year old, Danielle Cramer, who had been missing for almost a year. Police found her on June 6, in a hidden storage space under a set of stairs. In a search of the home, police reported that they found “abortion paperwork.” Danielle reportedly told police that she recently had an abortion at Planned Parenthood in West Hartford. According to the Manchester Journal Inquirer, Danielle would not disclose the father’s identity, but said that the girlfriend of the 41-year-old owner of the house “would be really mad if she found out.”

“This is the second incident in two months involving Planned Parenthood of Connecticut,” said Sedlak. “In May, a 22-year-old man was arrested in New London for raping a 14-year-old girl and getting her pregnant three times in six months. Police reports show that the man took the girl to a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Norwich. In both of these cases, it appears that Planned Parenthood never reported to authorities the sexual abuse of these little girls.”

In its latest financial report, Planned Parenthood acknowledges receiving some $305 million in taxpayer funding nationwide during its most recent fiscal year, including $4.5 million in Connecticut.

“It is time the public in Connecticut and across the United States understand the true nature of Planned Parenthood,” Sedlak said. “No one should be supporting this organization that protects rapists, yet that is what we as taxpayers are being forced to do. We invite all concerned citizens to sign our petition to cut all government funding of this controversial organization.” The petition may be signed online at StopPlannedParenthoodTaxFunding.com.
