America’s first black president vows government shutdown before cutting funds to nation’s abortionist-in-chief
(WASHINGTON, DC) — American Life League (ALL) says last week marked a mind-boggling historical event: America’s first black president drew a bizarre line in the sand declaring he would shut down the government of the United States to keep federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the organization that aborts over 125,000 black children nationwide each year.
CDC Abortion Surveillance and Census reports indicate that black mothers get abortions 300 percent higher per capita rate and an overall rate 2.5 times that of non-blacks. In New York City, Planned Parenthood’s hometown, CBS News reported in January that half of all African-American babies are aborted. The Washington Examiner reported in 2009 that 41 percent of all pregnancies in predominately black Washington, DC end in abortion.
“The president of the United States champions aborting over one-third of the next generation of African-Americans as empowerment,” said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League. “We do not. We see it as the worst bigotry of low expectations. Margaret Sanger would be proud of her elitist black disciples. We are not.”
Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood and the magazine Birth Control Review. A member of the Eugenics Society, she referred to poor blacks and immigrants as “human weeds.” Editorials in her magazine hailed sterilization as a “humanitarian” and “indispensible measure” of modern social welfare for “race improvement” by eliminating people who “should not have been born” in the first place (Dec 1935) but are “of the sort” who “persist in breeding” (Aug-Jul 1932).
ALL says the black mayor of the nation’s capital “swore his allegiance to Sanger’s legacy” when he appeared at a rally in support of Planned Parenthood. The previous day Washington, DC, Mayor Vincent Gray was arrested outside the Capitol building while protesting that Congress would not allow local tax dollars to pay for abortions in his predominately black city.
Planned Parenthood reported 332,287 abortions in 2009. The latest report from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention documents that black women received 38.1 percent of all abortions. Based on that national average, ALL calculates that Planned Parenthood is responsible for the death of at least 126,601 black preborn children each year.
“With leaders like the president and the DC mayor, is it any surprise this black genocide continues? It needs to stop and the place to start is with the total defunding of the organization where it began: Planned Parenthood,” Sedlak concluded.
