ALL Congratulates Pro-Lifers in Dubuque, Iowa, for Shutting Down Planned Parenthood

Washington, DC — According to KWWL.com, Dubuque’s Planned Parenthood is officially closed! Planned Parenthood had announced earlier this year that it would close the abortion center as soon as the building was sold. PP blamed the closing on a lack of patient numbers.

American Life League’s vice president, Jim Sedlak, had the privilege of speaking at a Dubuque County Right to Life event in 2007, as the community was gearing up to oppose this Planned Parenthood center.

“I remember being very impressed by the dedication and zeal of the pro-lifers of Dubuque,” said Sedlak. He continued:

I told them at the time that they needed to protest outside Planned Parenthood at least once a week. They told me they would do better than that. Over the last eight years, these dedicated pro-lifers were outside Planned Parenthood every hour it was open. And now . . . it’s closed for good.

The Dubuque center committed medication abortions. Marian Bourek, executive director of Dubuque County Right to Life, told news media that pro-lifers know of at least 20 babies they were able to save from abortion at this facility.

“We offer our congratulations to Dubuque County Right to Life and to Iowa Right to Life for the growing pro-life victories in the state,” Sedlak concluded. “The efforts against Planned Parenthood in Iowa are an inspiration to those opposing the organization all over the country.”
