Washington, D.C. (14 July 2009) – American Life League, the nation's largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization, is proud to welcome Project Defending Life as the newest member of ALL’s Associate Program.
“As we fight to restore legal recognition of human personhood on the national level, it is of paramount importance that we build the grassroots movement to spread the human rights message through direct action and personal witness,” said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. “We look forward to collaborating with Project Defending Life to defeat the culture of death in New Mexico and, ultimately, throughout our nation.”
PDL is a Catholic umbrella ministry in New Mexico that seeks to protect innocent human beings through prayer and public education. PDL sponsors a Holy Innocents Chapel, the Gabriel Project, Intercessors for Life, Books for Life, Helpers of God’s Precious Infants and Mom’s Ministry, among other pro-life activities – with a focus on ending all abortions. Its Holy Innocents Chapel is just 50 feet from a Planned Parenthood abortion center.
“American Life League is the nation’s premier organization working to end abortion and establish a true culture of life in our country,” said Fr. PDL is now one of the growing number of ALL Associate groups, which are located in more than half the states in the nation, as well as Canada and Africa.
