Letter betraying internal scramble to diffuse criticism backfires, invites prosecution
Washington, DC—On Thursday, August 27, 2015, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, sent a letter to Congress in a failed last ditch effort to thwart the growing will of the people to see an end to the over 500 million in taxpayer dollars received annually by the nation’s largest abortion chain. Analysis of the letter reveals a cloaked admission of guilt which, in and of itself, calls for immediate action by the federal government to cease distribution of funds and begin criminal prosecution.
In the letter, Richards admits that Planned Parenthood facilities harvest body parts to the tune of $60 per part—a violation of federal laws and regulation. This arrangement will result in Planned Parenthood potentially receiving hundreds of dollars for the parts of each aborted baby—far in excess of any reasonable “recovery of expenses.”
In addition, the abortion queen describes abortionists authorized to alter procedures to achieve “higher quality” body part procurement—another violation of federal law. Standard procedures are already dangerous to the women subject to such inhumane practice, and they are most certainly deadly to the child.
The Center for Medical Progress, responsible for the release of the undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s horrific practices, uncovered this criminal behavior. Richards’ statements show that these violations are supported by Planned Parenthood at the very highest levels of the organization. The CMP, in a statement released the same day, affirmed that these admissions alone “speak to Planned Parenthood’s financial benefit and profit motive for supplying fetal tissue.”
In response to this, Judie Brown, president of American Life League, stated:
Upon learning that StemExpress receives, according to its own words, a large “volume” of aborted baby body parts, we can presume that this translates into big bucks for Planned Parenthood, an organization that makes its money by killing the preborn, and in many cases also maims their mothers. This is a travesty, and yet Planned Parenthood continues to take in the big money . . . our money . . . taxpayer dollars. This must end! It is obvious that Planned Parenthood is hiding behind its pride to deflect attention from the suggestion that its actions are not only gruesome, but criminal. Of course a criminal investigation would only occur if the Planned Parenthood-loving Obama administration actually sought justice in these matters. Until then, the grim reaper hiding behind Planned Parenthood’s doors will continue to maim and kill.
