This Sunday is Valentine’s Day and Planned Parenthood is at its worst spreading the message of hedonistic sex. Planned Parenthood actually celebrates all this month by designating it “National Condom Month,” then designating a “National Condom Week” and further a “National Condom Day.” All of these events have but one purpose: to push uninhibited sexual activity among young people while encouraging them to use condoms and, of course, to donate to Planned Parenthood.
The legislature in Ohio has passed legislation taking an estimated $1.3 million in taxpayer funding away from Planned Parenthood. The legislation is being sent to the governor, who is expected to sign it. Although Planned Parenthood continues to insist it is entitled to taxpayer money, states across the country are saying NO! And although PP has been able to delay implementation of many of the cuts through court cases, it really cannot ignore the fact that more and more Americans simply want nothing to do with it.
Wisconsin has also passed several pieces of legislation that are estimated to cut off up to $4.5 million in taxpayer funds. A couple of the bills have been sent to the governor, while others need to emerge from the legislature. Planned Parenthood has been under fire for many years in Wisconsin and the fight continues.
Finally, a news story this week showed the bias of the media. The media reported that the Planned Parenthood center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, will reopen next week. This is the center that closed down after a deranged gunman killed three people in a standoff with police. When hearing of the reopening, a pro-life group issued a press release saying that it will work peacefully to legally pass local laws and/or regulations that would lead to a permanent closure of the center. A local newspaper ran a story on this, with a scathing headline: “Anti-Abortion Group Attacks Shot-Up Colorado Planned Parenthood Clinic a Week before it Reopens.”
What more is there to say?
