Loyalty to Planned Parenthood May Keep the Government Open and More

Democrats are currently fighting a federal Zika funding bill over two Planned Parenthood facilities in Puerto Rico. They want these two facilities to continue receiving taxpayer dollars so as not to establish a precedent for defunding Planned Parenthood. This fight may keep the government open after September 30 during this political season.

Jim Sedlak, executive director of ALL and founder of STOPP International, left for Iowa on Wednesday. He has been giving and will continue to give talks in three different cities before returning this Saturday. His talk on Thursday night took place in Clarinda, Iowa, and was entitled “The Truth About Planned Parenthood.”

Finally, Pro-Life This Week recognizes Pro-Life Waco for waging a national campaign against Bank of America, an organization that donates to Planned Parenthood. Bank of America includes Planned Parenthood in its 100 percent match to employee donations. Pro-Life Waco protests at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch—a Bank of America subsidiary—once a month to proclaim pro-life messages in the heart of Austin, Texas. Yesterday (September 15) the group had its monthly protest outside Bank of America at 6th and Congress and at Merrill Lynch at Brazos and Cesar Chavez. Pro-Life Waco encourage groups nationwide to join in spirit and in action in their respective cities.
