The release of videos about Planned Parenthood’s atrocities continues and you can see these videos at the Center for Medical Progress’ website, yet there are other things going on in the pro-life movement that we must also tell you about this week.
Pro-lifers across the country report increased media interest in the pro-life message and events. The discussion of abortion in Congress, at the presidential debates, and at state houses across the country seems to have piqued media interest. Here at American Life League, we are getting an increased number of requests for data on abortion and abortionists from media outlets across the country. If you are involved with local pro-life activity and have had a hard time getting media attention in the past, now is the time to try again. You just may find your local media willing to cover local efforts that have a tie-in to national news.
With all the news about abortion and some of the horrible things done to preborn babies—before and after their death—we often forget about the young people in our lives. Many pre-teens and teens receive news feeds on their electronic devices and become confused or need someone to answer questions or clarify reports. As parents and teachers, we must guide them, nurture them, and show them the truth. ALL’s Culture of Life Studies Program is here to help. Our blog site contains timely and important information for parents to share with their children. We recommend you visit cultureoflifestudies.com/blog and then use this information to educate the young people in your life.
Next month, the pope will visit the United States! We expect that pro-life will be one of the main topics he stresses. As part of his trip, the pope will stop at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. If you are planning to attend that week-long meeting, we call your attention to the International Pro-Life Symposium, which will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Visit American Life League’s booth at the convention center during this event.
The 40 Days for Life effort is now finalizing the list of locations for its fall 2015 campaign. This effort begins on Wednesday, September 23, and ends on Sunday, November 1. One of the locations is 1225 Fourth Street, Northeast, Washington, D.C. Earlier this year, Planned Parenthood closed its abortion facility on 16th Street in D.C. The Fourth Street location—which is within walking distance of a charter school and a major university—was purchased by Planned Parenthood, and although there is no activity going on at this time, it is believed it will be the site of a future PP killing center. We encourage all pro-lifers in the D.C. area to consider joining this effort.
