Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the advocacy arm of the nation’s largest abortion provider, may have just endorsed Hillary Clinton for president, but many of their supporters are “feeling the bern.”
Since the organization announced it would endorse Clinton, Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s social media pages have been inundated with messages from supporters of Clinton’s chief rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Some of the organization’s supporters questioned making an endorsement at all since the Democratic candidates hold similar positions on abortion and Planned Parenthood’s other legislative goals. Some have said they will no longer donate.
@dbtoub @PPact I’m a former Planned Parenthood employee and supporter and I am DISGUSTED by their actions.

@PPact @CecileRichards I hope Clinton gave you enough cash to make up for progressives pulling their support

@PPact Hmmm… @BernieSanders‘s Universal Single Payer Healthcare will undermine necessity for PP, as all ppl have access to healthcare.

@PPact NO MEANS NO!!! STOP FORCING HILLARY ON US!!

@PPact Really PP? You make your first endorsement EVER and it’s for the candidate your CEO’s daughter works for? #shame

@PPact Don’t care. Bernie has ALWAYS sided with women and equality issues. I stood with you. I will no longer.

@PPact I guess u don’t need my donations anymore since u have enough $ to put behind Clinton. Let’s c where U’ll be when Sanders wins.
— Sudi (@sudi_kt) January 9, 2016
@PPact Why I support Bernie Sanders and not Planned Parenthood: PP is in support of an oligarchy. Bernie is for THE PEOPLE. #FeelTheBern
— Future Lab Rats (@FutureLabRats) January 10, 2016
@PPact No, you should have remained neutral and allow the people that support you to make their decisions without you campaigning for her.

Both Clinton and Sanders have a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood Action Fund scorecard (which rates members of Congress). The organization has also called Democratic presidential candidate former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley “a rock star advocate for reproductive health and rights — he’s in our corner on all of our priorities.”
Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s endorsement of Clinton was its first in a presidential primary.
