Next Saturday, September 12, 2015, the third annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children will call on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites of our aborted brothers and sisters. Solemn prayer vigils will be conducted at these gravesites—of which there are 47 across the United States—as well as at dozens of other sites dedicated to the memory of aborted children.
You can be a very special part of the Day of Remembrance by hosting a memorial service at a gravesite in your community. Volunteer leaders are needed at sites across the country. View the list of gravesites to determine where leaders are needed.
If there is no actual burial place of preborn children nearby, you can host a prayer service at a local memorial site dedicated to the preborn victims of abortion. There are hundreds of such sites all over the country.
If you choose to host a Day of Remembrance memorial service, the national organizing team will provide you with numerous resources, such as sample bulletin announcements, press release templates, and a proposed program for your service. In addition, representatives from the National Day of Remembrance team will provide help along the way, including sample bulletin announcements, e-mails, and flyers; leadership conference calls; and any one-on-one assistance you may need.
BUT, you need to hurry. The event is just eight days away.
In order to sign up as a local leader for the National Day of Remembrance, review the lists of gravesites and other memorial sites to find an appropriate site near you. Then click on the link to serve as a leader at that site and fill out the application form. Once you’ve submitted your application, a member from the national team will contact you to confirm your participation and will provide all the resources you’ll need.
