In an unprecedented move, according to various media reports, Oregon Right to Life has provided qualified support to Republican Ron Saxton, candidate for governor. The reason the support is "qualified" is that Saxton is pro-abortion.
Gayle Atteberry, Oregon Right to Life's executive director, said that while the group will not give any money to Saxton, and does not give him a full endorsement because those only go to candidates who oppose legalized abortion, the group is encouraging people to vote for him.
Are you confused? Well, so are we. We've always known that right to life lived on the edge, but it appears that electing Republicans has become the guiding principle in their game. What a shame.
