Washington, D.C. (07 September 2010) – American Life League president Judie Brown welcomed the newest addition to its family of Associate groups: American Life League of Arizona.
According to President Rich Newhouse, the group grew out of a “sincere desire to promulgate the true teachings on life issues by the Catholic Church as taught by Pope John Paul II and Humanae Vitae.”
American Life League’s Associate Program is a network of pro-life groups dedicated to the recognition of every human being as a person from his or her biological beginning. As a member of the Associate Program, American Life League of Arizona joins over 100 other organizations in over 40 states, Canada, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and the Philippines.
The group focuses on a three-pronged strategy: working for legal recognition of the personhood of all human beings in the state of Arizona, producing a multimedia program to teach about all aspects of the sanctity of life and human personhood, and supporting other Catholic pro-life efforts in Arizona.
“American Life League of Arizona is a passionate organization committed to the fight for justice and human personhood,” said Judie Brown. “We are honored to work alongside it as we speak out in unison for the most voiceless and marginalized in our society.”
American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to death.
