It usually does not warm the cockles of my heart to hear that some large company is losing money… not usually. But in the case of recent news affecting Merck, the pharmaceutical giant, I am not shedding a single tear. They deserve every financial setback that could come their way.
For those of you who do not realize it, Merck is involved in the manufacture of childhood vaccines that exist because cells from aborted children were used in their manufacture. Therefore such vaccines are tainted, are unethical and should be replaced with ethical alternatives. Of course, Merck will have none of that.
So when the first news report came to my attention a few days ago, alerting the public that 1.2 million doses of children's Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine (Hib) was being recalled due to concerns about product sterility, I was shocked for the parents who will be concerned about contamination their children may have suffered. But I was also celebrating because it meant that Merck would have to take a loss. Oh my, how sad.
Now for those of you who are concerned about whether or not these particular flu vaccines are produced with cells from aborted children, the answer is that they are not. But that is not the point. Merck defends using such cells in certain other vaccines, and that is ghoulish.
Well, to move on with my report, the flu vaccines were recalled on December 12. Then, on the same day, it was announced in Canada that 200,000 doses of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine were quarantined due to concerns about side effects suffered by some patients. And in this case, the vaccine in question IS manufactured using the cells of aborted children.
And again, Merck has to eat its loss.
So when I put this in the context of the season we are in, the measures we are taking to prepare our souls for the coming of the Christ child, and the tradition so many families have of filling stockings for good little boys and girls with candy, or fruit or non edible goodies, I thought … well, the powers that be at Merck better not hang their stockings up, 'cause if they do they're going to get coal.
What else could corporate executives at Merck expect? These are people who turn a blind eye to the fact that many of their vaccines are not only troubling for health and safety reasons, but would not exist if innocent children had not been killed by abortion.
