I have been asked so many times to estimate how many people attended the March for Life, which happened to be the most underreported event in news media history.
One report stated that "tens of thousands" marched, but to my mind, watching the length, and the width of that March, I think it would be safe to say more than one hundred thousand.
Don't forget, though, when "doing the numbers" the media hesitates to give the pro-life movement credit for the capacity to gather large crowds.
If the march had been against the Iraq war, the numbers would have been inflated. But because the March for Life focused attention on the war in the womb, little if anything was said.
But we know we were there, and we praise God for the opportunity to remember with great sadness the horrid practice that murders thousands of children daily.
