The reports from American Life League's Stop Planned Parenthood International make me cringe, and I hope they will do the same for you.
As you may know from years past, Planned Parenthood "celebrates" the birth of Christ by marketing woefully bad "holiday cards" that provide the recipient with the crass message that children should be "wanted" and "choice" is far superior to unselfish love, even at the time of year during which we celebrate the birth of our savior. As STOPP's Jim Sedlak points out, "Planned Parenthood is trying to turn the celebration of the birth of our Lord into a celebration of the death of millions of babies!
"We implore every Christian in this nation to expose this attack on Christians and we ask every Christian pastor in the nation to denounce these cartds and the organization that continues to create them – Planned Parenthood."
And as if this isn't enough, we have also learned that if the poinsettia you purchase is from Paul Ecke Ranch, then you are inadvertently supporting Planned Parenthood.
People often ask me how we can be sure that the stores we patronize or even the cars we buy are free of all stain of involvement in the culture of death. I would be the first one to tell you that there is no one hundred percent guarantee since so much of our culture is in some way connected to immoral practices such as contraception, abortion, stem cell research and euthanasia.
However, in the case of the Paul Ecke Ranch, we have alternatives, and I hope you will use them.
The best way to heal these outrageous scars on our cultural landscape is to pray for our enemy, spend our dollars wisely and seek leadership from our pastors and elected officials … leadership that is based on truth rather than self-absorbed attitudes such as those fostered by Planned Parenthood.
