The U.S. Senate faces a bit of a quandary. Do they create a bogey man out of Judge Samuel Alito and persist in misrepresenting his, to be frank, nebulous record, or do they face the honest facts and vote on his qualifications, period?
Sometimes I do not think any senator has the integrity to vote according to fact rather than political agenda, but perhaps the impending Alito vote will prove me wrong. Time will tell.
While I personally do not think the U.S. Supreme Court will ever, yes ever, face the fact of personhood, I do think the court could become an honest vehicle for viewing the Constitution as written, rather than as imagined.
May Judge Samuel Alito provide the opportunity for each of us to see a Supreme Court that is as the founding fathers imagined. Time – and senatorial honesty – will tell.
