Satan’s Party

By Jim Sedlak

You may have missed it. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, was a day of celebration among certain segments of the American population. Many organizations—large and small—took part in a special day to recognize and appreciate what they described as “compassionate” people.

Some organizations sent postcards and other messages, while many used social media to express their appreciation. These groups included the Feminist Majority Foundation, Advocates for Youth, The 1 in 3 Campaign, Planned Parenthood, and NARAL Pro-Choice America.

What was it all about?

Tuesday was National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day!

Memorial of the UnbornPlanned Parenthood posted on its Facebook page: “Today is the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers! Join us in saying ‘thank you’ to the compassionate and courageous doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and health center staff who work every day to keep patients healthy and ensure they have access to the reproductive health care they need—including safe and legal abortion.” Clearly Planned Parenthood has no regard for the babies who die in an abortion.

NARAL Pro-Choice America followed suit on its Facebook page with this message: “Dear Abortion providers, THANK YOU. With love, Pro-choice supporters everywhere.”

That’s right; the culture of death actually has one day each year where it celebrates hitmen for hire who murder our children—for a price. This celebration can only be described as Satan’s party.

According to the pro-life website AbortionDocs.com, there are currently 899 contract killers—abortionists—operating throughout the United States.

No one knows exactly how many abortions take place in the United States each year. The Guttmacher Institute estimates that there are 1,058,000 surgical and medication abortions. That means that, on the average, each of these hitmen are responsible for the deaths of 1,177 babies a year.

To put this in perspective, the Herald Sun in Melbourne, Australia, ran a story in November 2014 on the “world’s most dangerous hitmen.” The “most prolific” individual, Richard Kuklinski, claimed to have killed 100-200 people in his lifetime. That’s a large number, but the average abortionist kills that many innocent human beings every two months! Kuklinski was convicted and died in prison, yet abortionists get celebrated and “appreciated.”

In a twist of irony, on the same day all these national organizations were showing their appreciation for these abortionists, a man in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, appeared in court for a preliminary hearing and was held for trial. His crime? He is accused in a murder-for-hire plot in which “police say he is accused of trying to hire someone to have [his] unborn baby killed.”

So, if mom wants the baby killed and hires an abortionist to do it, not only is that not a crime, but the contract killer—the abortionist—is celebrated as providing compassionate care. But, if dad does it, he is a criminal.

Such is the state of morality in America today. Clearly something is wrong here. Nobody should kill innocent human beings—no matter who they are or who hires them. And no one should celebrate murderers—on any day. To do so is truly Satanic.

You know when we should celebrate though?

• Every time an abortion facility closes down

• Every time a mom changes her mind and walks away from an abortion facility with her still-living child in her womb

• Every time an abortionist leaves the industry and becomes pro-life

• Every time a worker at Planned Parenthood, or other employer of contract killers, leaves his job

Thankfully, all of these things are regular occurrences. We, at American Life League’s STOPP program, are humbled to know our efforts have helped close over 250 Planned Parenthood facilities this century.

The greatest cause for celebration on any day is the fact that the Author of all human life is on our side in this battle. As the culture of death celebrates and appreciates the contract killers, you can turn to Jesus Christ and thank Him for the gift of every human being’s life. Tell Him that, with His grace, you will not give in or give up. You will fight for the lives of every human being from creation to death—without exception, without compromise, and without apology.
