Pro-Life Education Has Never Been This Easy

By Laura Kizior

Integrating the culture of life into the lessons you teach at home or in the classroom should be hassle-free. As educators and parents, your job of training the next generation to respect the life of every human being is incredibly important, and, at times, challenging. You want to provide the most relevant information for your students, but you don’t want to invest in a whole new textbook.

That’s why we’ve decided to start offering our lessons in a new format—digital downloads. These easy-to-use e-lessons are available instantly after purchasing. No more waiting! Because we’ve made these lessons available electronically, we are able to include more hyperlinks to useful websites right in the text. It’s up to you whether you want to print a hard copy or simply read the lesson right from your computer and have the extra online resources right at your fingertips.

Here are some examples of the wonderful lessons we offer. Do Small Things with Great Love: Saint Teresa of Calcutta is a lesson for students in kindergarten through second grade about the newest pro-life saint, Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Using a charming new book from Liguori Publications entitled Mother Teresa: A Life of Love by John and Marieta Monette, this lesson explores the life of the founder of the Missionaries of Charity and examines how she lived the gospel of life. Bonus material from this lesson includes two craft projects and a coloring page from the Miracle of Life Coloring & Activity Book.

Dr. Jérôme Lejeune and Trisomy 21 highlights the life of the discoverer of the genetic cause of Down syndrome, Dr. Jérôme Lejeune, and his courage in defending the lives of all human beings. Dr. Lejeune was a faithful Catholic who sacrificed his career as a scientist in order to proclaim the truth about abortion. Students in middle school will enjoy reading about Dr. Lejeune’s life and learning about Down syndrome.

Defend Life: The Beauty of the Developing Human Being is the first lesson from our junior high unit study entitled Defend Life. Families completing Lesson One from Life Is Precious finally have a junior high school level lesson and project for their older students that can be completed at the same time. In the coming months, we plan to release more lessons from Defend Life as e-lesson downloads before releasing the unit study as a hard copy.

High school students can enhance their study of the French language with La Culture de la Vie: Teaching the Culture of Life in French Class, a six-lesson packet about the culture of life in France, French abortion law, and how to defend the lives of preborn babies in French. Dream of the Rood: Discovering the Culture of Life in Medieval Poetry helps students in English Literature class understand the value of suffering and how great works of literature can help build a culture of life in our society.

Our Pro-Life Citizenship lesson teaches students about responsible pro-life citizenship and how to become moral voters. Talking about the election through a pro-life Christian lens has never been easier.

As with our hard copy lessons, our e-lessons include all appendices, templates, and craft pages to complete the projects within the lessons.

We also believe pro-life education shouldn’t break your budget. Check out our growing collection of free lesson downloads, movie discussion guides, and other goodies in our Free Lessons collection.

At the Culture of Life Studies Program, we believe that pro-life education should not be difficult or complicated. This is why we work to create many relevant, affordable, and easy-to-use lessons for you and your family or classroom so that you can focus on what really matters—raising and teaching the next generation of pro-lifers.
