Communique – Jul. 17, 2006

special edition:

ACTION ALERT: Contact your U.S. Senator TODAY!

Today, July 17, the U.S. Senate is set to debate S.B. 2754, the Alternative Pluripotent Stem Cell Therapies Enhancement Act. The proposed bill would allow for the Altered Nuclear Transfer/Oocyte-Assisted Reprogramming (ANT/OAR) process invented by Dr. William Hurlbut.

In theory, this bill is supposed to spare human embryos from abuse. In reality, it allows for a technique that would actually create and then kill human embryos. Because of this clear attack on innocent human life, American Life League strongly opposes this bill and encourages you to alert your senators to do the same.

Since the science of the procedure can be confusing, American Life League has provided a statement that clearly defines the reasoning behind our opposition to the procedure and proposed bill. You can read American Life League’s analysis online.

Please help to save the lives of an untold number of tiny human embryos by preventing this bill from becoming law. Time is of the essence, so please contact your U.S. senators TODAY and urge them to defend the sanctity and dignity of each human being by voting against the Alternative Pluripotent Stem Cell Therapies Enhancement Act. Every single phone call and e-mail will help!
