A New Hampshire anti-abortion group is suing a federal health agency for failing to reveal why it awarded Planned Parenthood of New Hampshire a $1 million grant in September. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced the grant three months after New Hampshire’s Executive Council in June denied funding to the family planning clinics that operate in six cities. New Hampshire Right to Life says the government has failed to respond to a federal Freedom of Information request if filed in October for information on why other health care agencies were not allowed to bid for the $1 million grant.
