  • In yet another terrifying story, we hear of a man secretly ordering abortion drugs online to kill the child of his unsuspecting partner.
  • Florida’s is suing Planned Parenthood over “deceptive marketing” claims regarding the abortion pill.

New reports are circulating of an Ohio doctor whose license was recently suspended because he allegedly laced his pregnant girlfriend’s drink with abortion drugs.

Dr. Hassan-James Abbas, a surgical resident at the University of Toledo Medical Center, has been accused of ordering the abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol online from an “out-of-state vendor” using his estranged wife’s name and date of birth.

A WTOL investigative report explained that, in an interview with the medical board, Abbas “admitted to researching and ordering mifepristone and misoprostol after learning his girlfriend was pregnant.” It continued:

He admitted to using his estranged wife’s personal identifying information to obtain the medication without her knowledge or consent.

He further admitted to crushing the abortion medication for it to dissolve more quickly and adjusting the medication administration, not following the provided instructions and substituting his own medical judgment. Abbas admitted to administering crushed pills to Patient 1 around 4 a.m. on Dec. 18, 2024, though he stated Patient 1 had agreed to take them. He also admitted to taking her phone and hanging up on the 911 call and taking the remainder of the crushed pills and throwing them out the window on his way to work.

Patient 1, his pregnant girlfriend, accused Abbas of violently attacking her in her sleep and forcing the second dose of the abortion pill into her mouth. She called 911 but was able to drive herself to the hospital, where she was treated for vaginal bleeding. Her baby did die.

This horrific and violent account is all too common because the abortion pill is available online and through the mail. American Life League’s 2024 report on the abortion pill drug cartel cited several instances of women being drugged with the abortion pill without their knowledge or consent (pages four and five).

Planned Parenthood has aided and even abetted violence for years, and now with the “wild west” of the abortion pill, these instances have increased exponentially. As ALL’s report on the abortion pill drug cartel cites, Planned Parenthood and other abortion pill providers hide behind shield laws that allow them to prescribe these pills in states with abortion restrictions (pages five and six). What’s worse, these online vendors often only require a date of birth and an estimated date of a last period, leaving the door open for violent partners and sex traffickers to force women into abortions against their will. This horrific reality will continue until our lawmakers decide to become serious about the deadly abortion pill regimen. ALL and STOPP implore lawmakers to ban these pills immediately. Adding more restrictions or scaling back on availability will not solve these problems. This violent story proves that if a person wants to obtain abortion pills to kill a baby, they will find a way. The only way to stop this abortion violence is to ban these pills and stop the abortion pill drug cartel.

Florida’s attorney general recently announced that the state is suing Planned Parenthood over “deceptive marketing” claims regarding the “safety” of the abortion pill. The state is asking for damages of $350 million and for sanctions against the abortion giant.

Planned Parenthood has long claimed that mifepristone, the first medication in the abortion pill regimen, is safe. Its website even says, “Medication abortion is very safe. In fact, it’s safer than many other medicines like penicillin, Tylenol, and Viagra.” It also frequently claims that the abortion pill is “safer than Tylenol” on social media, in interviews, and through its marketing campaigns. But, as the lawsuit explains, this ridiculous statement has been debunked several times. It then outlined mifepristone’s risks and complications, which regularly send mothers to the emergency room and have resulted in several deaths.

Let us not forget that the abortion pill is also responsible for the deaths of millions of preborn babies.

Planned Parenthood’s lies, the state argues, are a deliberate attempt to trick women into purchasing the abortion pill from one of its facilities. Chemical abortions are easier and cheaper to provide, and according to the lawsuit, which cited STOPP’s research regarding the profitability of chemical abortions, this has made them a “cash cow” for Planned Parenthood. Florida pointed to PP’s $3.1 billion in assets and the exorbitant salaries given to its executives, also citing data from STOPP’s 2025 Report on Planned Parenthood CEO Compensation as evidence of the organization’s greed.

“It is vile that Planned Parenthood cares more about lining their pockets than providing women with factual information about the health risks of chemical abortion drugs,” James Uthmeier, Florida’s attorney general, said.

We applaud Uthmeier and the state of Florida for fighting to hold Planned Parenthood accountable for its lies and harm, and we pray that other states will have the courage to do the same.
