A recent headline from Florida has given a singular opportunity to those of us who love truth! How often in our lifetime have we seen something similar to these words: “Florida cites mafia law, hits Planned Parenthood with suit over claim abortion pill ‘safer than Tylenol’”?
For years, we have known that Planned Parenthood is selling deception. We realized this more than 50 years ago, but this recent report gave us pause on many levels.
Let’s start with the reference to the mafia. Webster tells us that the word means “a criminal organization associated with a particular traffic.” In this case, the trafficking involves the abortion pill. So we dug a bit deeper.
The over-the-counter headache/pain remedy Tylenol is marketed as a long-lasting pain relief medication. Mifepristone, the abortion pill, is described as a tablet that can end a pregnancy that is 10 weeks along or less (though sometimes Planned Parenthood pushes this limit).
Tylenol relieves pain. Mifepristone ends a person’s life. In what universe are these actions remotely similar?
Yet Planned Parenthood has said, “Medication abortion is very safe. In fact, it’s safer than many other medicines like penicillin, Tylenol, and Viagra. Serious problems are rare, but like all medicines, there can be risks.”
But their words only ring true in a world where the preborn child is treated as a disease rather than as a human person!
Such ridiculous statements reflect the tenor of our cultural affection for abortion. For most people abortion is an antidote to a problem, not the killing of a human being. Planned Parenthood knows this, as do those in the medical and philosophical realm who strive to tell us that pregnancy is a disease.
Truth took a holiday when abortion was mainstreamed in America. This is why we find Planned Parenthood hawking its deadly wares without apology. If you think this is a bit harsh, we invite you to locate one sentence where Planned Parenthood leaders have said in plain English that abortion kills a person. This is a fact that the enemies of life dare not state, because from their earliest days proponents of contraception and abortion were hell-bent on replacing natural occurrences like pregnancy with antidotes that result in the death of the innocent.
If you search on the Internet, you will find reports of abortionists being killed, but you will see far fewer about the victims of abortion. That alone suggests that in the world of abortion profiteering, the agenda once embraced by the mafia is today that of the abortion pill drug cartel. The one thing they have in common is killing people with abandon, even though society may be numb to this fact.
Saint Thomas Aquinas remarked that “a little error in the beginning leads to a great one in the end.” This is indeed the case with the abortion-minded who refuse to acknowledge that if there were no baby present during pregnancy, there would be no market for abortion! It is really that simple.
In the world occupied by gangsters like Al Capone, murder was always a fallback position if folks did not behave according to gangster rules.
Today, Planned Parenthood simply uses language to disguise its goal of ending the lives of babies prior to birth. But the condition that brings about such bloody results is the same: callous disregard for human life.
The Florida mafia law may or may not work against Planned Parenthood, but we can be confident that in the face of such evil intent to kill, the Consummate Judge will not ignore the deaths of His children.
