Week in Review

Virginia’s Election Results Remind Us of Two Important Things

In our home state of Virginia, we had some very disappointing election results this week. Pro-abortion Democrats won the governor seat, along with several other significant positions. These results will pave the way for an attempt to add abortion to our state’s constitution next November.

These results have me thinking about two things.

First, sometimes election results like this are a wake-up call from God. While politics are important, they are not the solution. No candidate can offer you salvation; only God offers that gift. When the political pendulum swings the other way, perhaps it is God calling us back to Him, reminding us that our faith rests in Him and Him alone.

Second, we need to roll up our sleeves. There is no doubt in my mind that come November 2026, the constitutional “right” to an abortion will be on Virginia’s ballot. To save souls, now is the time to educate with clarity and compassion.

According to various election analysts, the Virginia elections were largely decided by liberal women. If we want to change hearts and minds on abortion, this is our exact demographic. These women are the ones who need it the most! In 2026, we must ramp up efforts to reach these women, but we must do so with great compassion and clarity. As I have said in regard to my many talks at high schools, our job is to plant a seed and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. The same principle applies here.

May we plant millions of seeds in 2026 and pray that the Holy Spirit uses them!

If you are a Virginia resident, or perhaps a New Jersey or New York City resident grappling with similar results, do not despair.

Join me in using this as an opportunity to draw back to our faith, trusting in our Lord and Him alone! And join me in praying for the women who have hardened their hearts to the truth and beauty that embracing the gift of life can bring.

While we have our work cut out for us in 2026, we are up to the task!

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Finds Loophole That May End Medicaid Defunding

Less than one month after pausing its abortion services, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin has resumed killing preborn babies—and it’s using a loophole to receive our federal tax dollars while doing it.

In late September, PPWI announced that it would not schedule any abortion appointments after September 30. The organization blamed the recent Medicaid defunding for the pause and promised to find an option that would allow it to restore its baby-killing services.

And it didn’t take long to find it. On October 27, PP of Wisconsin announced that it was once again committing abortions and that it would also continue to see patients who use Medicaid. In the press release, PPWI shared that a recent court filing from Health and Human Services said that “family planning organizations could continue billing Medicaid by ceasing abortion, or by relinquishing their tax-exempt status, or relinquishing their Essential Community Provider status.” PPWI chose the third option, claiming that this change means it can now receive Medicaid reimbursements.

Essential Community Providers are facilities that serve “predominantly low-income, medically underserved individuals.” Insurance providers must contract with a certain number of ECPs to offer health insurance plans through the Health Insurance Marketplace (healthcare.gov). Since Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is no longer an ECP that will help meet this quota, it may lose contracts with some of these insurance companies. Ultimately, however, PPWI sacrifices little to regain its access to Medicaid funds while continuing its violent killing.

Though it hasn’t happened yet, we may soon see other affiliates taking advantage of this loophole—if it’s upheld—cutting the defunding’s already-limited timeline short. This development shows that half-hearted legislation isn’t enough to protect preborn human beings from the abortion giant. We must take bold, decisive action that defunds Planned Parenthood permanently and closes its doors for good.

Culture of Life Studies Program

Honoring the Blessed Mother teaches students learn the story of the Annunciation and Mary’s “yes” to God to become the mother of our Savior. As Christians, we understand that Mary played one of the most important roles in the history of our salvation as the mother of our Savior, which is why we choose to honor her in a very special way with feast days throughout the year and especially during the month of May. As a pro-life people, we also turn to Our Lady for her help as we work to build a culture of life. Through Mary’s “yes,” we learn how to love, affirm, and respect every human being as a gift during every stage of life. ORDER HERE

A South Carolina lawyer faces four counts of making threats with a hoax device after brandishing what appeared to be a hand grenade at pro-life witnesses.

The incident occurred outside an Episcopalian church in Horry County, where members of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust were demonstrating against the church’s leadership—including the suspect—for allegedly supporting a state abortion fund.

Full post reads: Local lawyer, Richard M. Lovelace, threatened our team with a grenade outside Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church this morning. Survivors was protesting outside Saint Anne’s this morning because many of their members and high leadership, including Lovelace’s wife who is a board member at the church as well as a judge in South Carolina, are big supporters of Palmetto state abortion fund; they partner with Planned Parenthood to traffic abortion pills into the state and help women travel outside of the state to kill their children. The police arrived immediately after he threatened us and was detained. Updates to come! Stay tuned.

The episode underscores a stark irony: Abortion supporters often accuse pro-life advocates of “violent rhetoric” while resorting to literal threats against peaceful advocates. Those defending the preborn in public must stay vigilant, prepared to endure persecution as Christ did.
