Citing New Research, American Life League Urges Texas AG Ken Paxton to Outlaw Abortion Pills

American Life League issued a powerful letter to Texas attorney general Ken Paxton, calling for the criminalization of abortion pills to protect preborn lives, women’s health, and the dignity of human life. The letter, penned by ALL national director Katie Brown Xavios, addresses the alarming rise in illegal abortion pill distribution and commends Paxton’s recent efforts to combat this crisis.

The letter highlights findings from ALL’s 2024 report entitled Beneath the Surface: Exposing the Abortion Pill Drug Cartel, which reveals how abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood and networks like Plan C, operate akin to drug cartels by circumventing state laws to illegally distribute abortion pills. These organizations not only supply dangerous drugs without regard for women’s mental or physical health, but they also provide guidance on concealing abortions from medical professionals and families.

ALL’s latest report on Planned Parenthood in “pro-life” states further exposes that the organization’s affiliates generate millions in revenue, with 29 Texas facilities alone contributing to a combined annual total of $130,834,049, despite state abortion restrictions. This underscores the need for stronger action to dismantle the illegal abortion pill networks.

“We fully support Attorney General Paxton’s courageous efforts and urge him to outlaw these deadly drugs to protect the most vulnerable,” said Katie Brown Xavios. “For far too long, abortion networks have skirted state laws to carry out illegal distribution of these pills, and women and their babies pay the price every time. It is time for these criminal abortion rings to be held accountable.”

American Life League’s letter emphasizes that mere restrictions on abortion pills are insufficient and that criminalization is necessary to uphold the sanctity of life and ensure justice. The organization has also extended an offer to collaborate with Paxton’s office to advance this critical fight.

Pro-Abortion Governor Signs Bills to Protect Abortionists and Expand Access to Abortion Pills and Contraception

Last Friday, JB Pritzker, the governor of Illinois, signed several bills into law that protect abortionists and abortion pill drug distributors through Illinois’ shield law and that require abortion pills and contraceptives to be readily available to students at colleges and universities.

According to the press release from the governor’s office, HB3637

expands upon the state’s existing shield law and safeguards for reproductive healthcare in two areas. First, this bill extends shield law protection to all health care providers. . . . Second, this bill amends the state’s Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, such that a medication that was previously approved by the FDA whose approval was revoked but is still considered effective by the World Health Organization (WHO), will not be considered in violation of the Act. This means that health care providers will not be violating Illinois law by prescribing drugs that are widely considered safe and effective but have had their FDA approvals revoked for political reasons—as anti-choice politicians have sought for mifepristone, the drug commonly used in medication abortions.

This means that abortionists in Illinois are protected by the law so they can provide abortion drugs via telehealth to those in abortion-restricted states. It also means that even if the FDA took away its approval of mifepristone (the first drug of the abortion pill regimen that starves the preborn child to death), Illinois law would allow abortionists in the state to continue prescribing it. This bill shows the pro-abortion legislation’s complete disregard for mothers and their preborn children, as it seeks to protect the providers more than those directly impacted by these deadly drugs.

However, the insanity does not stop there. Pritzker also signed HB3709 into law, which “requires public colleges and universities to offer contraception and medication abortion if they have an on-campus pharmacy or student health center” (emphasis added). The bill further states that if a college or university has a pharmacy or “wellness kiosk,” it “must also include discounted emergency contraception.”

Additionally, the public colleges that have health services must offer abortion pills to students and can even do so through telehealth services. Lastly, abortion pills must be offered in person on public campuses, and information must be given to students about how they can access these deadly drugs at public colleges.

These bills highlight the absolute disdain for human life in its most vulnerable stage, as well as disregard for mothers who are in need of assistance and support—something abortion never provides. It also shows the additional evil of promoting promiscuous sex to young adults, which leads to increased abortion and contraceptive use. We must pray and then make our voices heard to politicians who seek to destroy the culture of life in order to benefit the financial profit of those running the abortion industry. If you live in Illinois, please share this news and make your objections to these horrible laws known to your governor by contacting him here.

Culture of Life Studies Program

Caring for the Least of These: This lesson booklet teaches students how important it is to stand up for others, even when those people cannot repay any help. The lessons taught within serve as the foundation that all kids need as we teach them to protect and cherish others. When they grow up learning the value of all God’s children, they will be more likely to uphold those values when it comes to topics such as abortion and euthanasia. Teaching them that all people have value and that they can impart that truth to those around them gives them the moral courage to do so as they grow into adulthood. ORDER HERE

VIDEO: Girl Scouts Push Sex Materials on Girls

Summer is wrapping up, and children are returning to school. That means extracurriculars will soon begin. We caution parents to be careful when it comes to scouting, as it has been shrouded in controversy for two decades, and sadly, these groups are not doing anything to remedy the problem.

Girl Scouts USA has a long history of pushing feminist and abortion ideology on girls. For instance, in 2022, it introduced its Public Health Badge. It exposes girls to outside organizations with ties to Planned Parenthood and its promiscuity-promoting programs. Katie Brown, national director of American Life League, joined Choose Life Radio to expose some of the Scouts’ anti-Christian programs.
