Pray with the Marian Blue Wave this Lenten Season
Are you uncertain about how to make the most of this holy Lenten season? If you haven’t already, we invite you to join us in praying with ALL’s Marian Blue Wave community each week during Lent. And after!
Marian Blue Wave is a call for Catholics across the US to pray the rosary once a week with the specific intentions of pleading for the end of all forms of abortion (surgical, pill, contraceptive, and IVF) and for the closing of every Planned Parenthood facility in the United States. Our prayer petitions also include praying for families hurt by abortion, for expectant mothers who are afraid and alone, and for the Holy Father, bishops, priests, and deacons to always defend Christ in the Eucharist.
When you pray the rosary as a member of the Marian Blue Wave, you are joining a community of 10,000+ Catholics who have dedicated themselves to weekly prayer for the end of the culture of death in our country. The Marian Blue Wave provides digital downloads on how to pray the rosary, and when you sign up we will even send a weekly reminder to your inbox to pray.
With endorsements from several bishops, including Bishop Michael Burbidge of Arlington, Virginia, and Bishop Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois, Marian Blue Wave strives to unite all Catholics in prayer to Our Lord through His Blessed Mother’s intercession.
Bill in Favor of Installing Contraceptive Vending Machines in Maryland Nursery Schools Gets Voted Down
In the last issue of PLTW, ALL reported that Maryland’s House of Delegates overwhelmingly passed through a bill that would overturn restrictions on contraceptive vending machines in schools—from nursery schools up through high school.
We are glad to provide an update that Maryland’s Senate committee disposed of the proposed bill within seconds of its introduction last Friday. An article from Maryland Matters explains that because the committee squashed House Bill 380 quickly and without a Senate draft of it, the bill will not appear again in this session.
Del. Nicole Williams, who introduced the bill to the House of Delegates, was shocked that HB 380 was unsuccessful in the Senate. She said, “I think people got very distracted about what this bill actually does. . . . This bill is simply decriminalizing access to contraception. That’s all the bill does. It does not dictate any type of policy as it relates to vending machines and any of our schools or preschools or day care centers.”
By allowing the “decriminalization” of contraceptive machines in schools, one is in fact sending a signal of encouragement to schools so that they may implement these machines whenever they see fit. Additionally, exposing children as young as nursery school all the way up through high school to contraceptive vending machines will promote sexual promiscuity and perversion among our young people, starting at a very young age.
Because of this bill’s threat to the dignity of human persons, we are grateful to Maryland’s Senate committee for its resounding “no” to even discussing the possibility of implementing this bill.

Could Trump Be More Pro-Life Than Ronald Reagan?
Ronald Reagan was governor of California when he signed a law allowing for the killing of preborn children. Does this give us hope for Trump? He understands the truth very well, but in the matter of vulnerable, preborn life he has chosen to align himself politically rather than show the reality of what abortion does to the preborn child. Judie Brown joins Molly Smith on From the Median to discuss Trump, Reagan, and the Personhood Proclamation.
