Planned Parenthood Club Recognized at ‘Catholic’ University
DePaul University, a large Catholic Vincentian university in Chicago, recognizes Planned Parenthood Generation Action as an official club on its campus. On its website, Planned Parenthood Generation Action at DePaul boasts of 319 members and of 46 events held so far at the university, along with the following from its “about us” statement:
PPGADPU is dedicated to addressing and dismantling white supremacy within the abortion rights movement and elsewhere, along with inequitable power imbalances, hierarchies, the stratification of knowledge and resources, explicit and implicit forms of bias, racial discrimination, and other forms of oppression related to perceived or assumed identity or expression, such as but not limited to gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, ability, or socioeconomic status.
In other words, this Planned Parenthood club is encouraging young people to support the murder of babies through abortion, live sexually promiscuous lifestyles, and deny God’s intentional design for them as biological men and women. And all of this is happening at an institution that calls itself Catholic.
Unfortunately, DePaul University has a history of working with Planned Parenthood. In 2015, the university listed Planned Parenthood on its website as a “volunteer” option for students. In May 2024, the university held an event that invited the president of Catholics for Choice and other pro-abortion women to speak to students about abortion “rights” and fighting the university’s contraceptive distribution ban. The club’s Instagram page is so full of events and Planned Parenthood memes that it is unrecognizable that DePaul is a “Catholic” school.
Planned Parenthood’s actions and ideologies go directly against the Catholic Church’s teaching on human dignity and human life. It is truly blasphemous for such an institution founded upon Catholic values to allow Planned Parenthood to be an active participant and “resource” for students at the university. ALL has written to the Archdiocese of Chicago to inform the bishop and to ask for action in demanding that the university either drop Planned Parenthood or remove its identity as a Catholic college. We encourage our supporters to join us in this action item, and we ask for help with writing to DePaul University as well, with an urgent request that they remove Planned Parenthood from the campus.
Planned Parenthood’s Core Curriculum in Your Child’s Classroom
America’s largest abortion provider is present in schools across America, and American Life League is calling out education administrators for granting Planned Parenthood access to students. The pro-life education organization points to one example, in which International Planned Parenthood Federation’s Deliver Enable Toolkit shows teachers how to scale “comprehensive sexuality education” for children under age 10—presenting the exploitation of women through prostitution as a normal “interpersonal relationship.”
“Public schools are allowing the organization that killed almost 393,000 preborn children by abortion in 2023 unfettered access to thousands of elementary, middle, and high school students in their classrooms,” stated Katie Brown, American Life League’s national director, “and it is spending taxpayer dollars to do so.”
Planned Parenthood boasts on its website that it is the “nation’s largest provider of sex education.” Its 2023 annual reportclaims that it has reached “1.2 million people . . . through education programming, outreach, and training,” garnered three million views of its educational videos, and spent $53.9 million on sex education expenses.
The abortion vendor touts operation of more than 350 campus groups across the country, with a 2023 study reporting Planned Parenthood involvement at 76 Christian colleges.
At all ages, the curriculum includes information about sexual health and behavior, relationships and decision-making, and human development, which Planned Parenthood lists as “reproduction, puberty, sexual orientation, and gender identity.”
“Notably absent,” said Brown, “is any mention of chastity, expectant motherhood, fetal development, or parenting. Planned Parenthood teaches children to be sexually promiscuous so they will then need its abortion and birth control services later on.”
The taxpayer-funded abortion giant’s offerings for students vary from state to state:
- Sex Ed To-Go: Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest offer teachers free downloadable “Sex Ed To-Go” abortion curriculum for children as young as nine years old with 25- to 40-minute video sessions, including: How Abortion Works, a 40-minute course about “a common medical procedure”; Barriers to Abortion Care, a 30-minute course about how barriers to accessing abortion care can be “navigated”; and Supporting Abortion Access, a 25-minute course about how to be a “strong advocate for abortion access in your community.”
- Back to School with Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey’s feature entitled “Back to School with Planned Parenthood!” informs youth that “we’re always here for all your sexual and reproductive health needs.” It goes on to say, “Whether you need a wellness exam, are interested in birth control, want some free condoms (seriously – NSA), or just have questions, we have locations all across New Jersey.”
- Planned Parenthood Teachers in Public Schools: Planned Parenthood Los Angeles promotes its school presentations as facilitated by Planned Parenthood “educators” who have “extensive training and expertise in teaching sex education classes,” noting that they “work with several key schools across Los Angeles.”
- Helping Children Hide Abortions from Their Parents: Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida is one of multiple regional Planned Parenthood branches that direct minor girls to a detailed “Abortion Care for People Under 18” tutorial, providing step-by-step instructions for obtaining an abortion without parental knowledge or consent.
“What does it look like when Planned Parenthood presents sexual education?” asks Brown. “Unfortunately, it’s not about how God created our bodies uniquely male and female to bring children into the world. No, Planned Parenthood’s top services are abortion and birth control, clearly illustrating this organization’s complete lack of respect for the life that God created and total disregard for His plan for procreation and families. This is not an entity that anyone should ever trust to care for and instruct our precious children.”
American Life League has documented examples of the abortion vendor’s recent youth-focused programming.
“Our children are America’s most precious commodity,” shared Brown, “and we can’t let them be abused by an entity that views them as disposable fodder for an ideology that devalues them and their very existence by insisting that they are expendable before and up to the moment, even after, they are born. Allowing Planned Parenthood to teach our children about anything does these young ones a horrible—and deadly—disservice.”
In the Office: Send Us Your Prayer Requests
By Katie Brown, ALL national director
Each of us is carrying a cross right now. While each cross looks different, we are united by our suffering and our need for God’s aid and assistance.
At the American Life League office, we pray daily for our supporters and their intentions. When we can, we like to mention them by name.
If you have an intention you would like us to pray for, send me an email at kbrown@all.org. We cannot do what we do without your constant support, so let us return the favor and support you in prayer.
ALL in the News
Susan Ciancio, editor of Celebrate Life Magazine and director of the Culture of Life Studies Program—ALL’s pre-K-12 pro-life education program—wrote an article about a new podcast on St. Therese’s Story of a Soul beginning October 1. It was featured in the Catholic World Report this week. She also wrote a blog for CLSP about how St. Therese’s little way can help build a culture of life.
Dwain Currier, ALL’s digital content director, created a video detailing facts about IVF and revealing that more babies die from the procedure than from abortion. It was featured in yet another article. This time, it was discussed in a French outlet!
Twice a week, Judie’s commentaries are distributed to an expansive media list. The list contains over 100 media outlets such as Fox News, The Federalist, Breitbart, and The Daily Caller, among others. Judie’s commentaries are each featured on the front page of ALL.org.

It Isn’t About Ending a Pregnancy, It’s about a Dead Baby
If you watched the presidential debate this week between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, you saw two candidates argue over the topic of abortion in the third trimester. Democrats refuse to admit they’re okay with abortionists killing plump babies. Many Republicans take Trump’s position that killing a baby is okay as long as they’re tiny, or they were conceived in rape, or they’re in a state that voted to legalize it. To Trump’s credit, he at least mentioned the word “baby,” but he was only referring to babies surviving an abortion and then left to die alone on a surgical table.
Whether an aborted baby is alive or dead, she has been successfully removed from her mother. Her pregnancy is “terminated.” So why, then, do Democrats refuse to sign so called born-alive protection bills?
Simple.
When lawmakers in Washington say a woman has a right to bodily autonomy, they don’t really mean to say she has a right to a surgical procedure to terminate a pregnancy. What they really mean, but refuse to admit out loud, is that a mother has the right to a dead baby.We explain this in a video we published in 2020:
