“Anyone who wishes to frolic with the devil cannot rejoice with Christ.”
– Saint Peter Chrysologus
It is by no means an accident that this quote from Saint Peter Chrysologus appeared in my file today. The sobering thought that the president of the United States claims to be Catholic yet presides over the bloody killing of innocent babies at every stage of prenatal development is proof enough that he is a tool of Satan. Yet he touts his identity as a Catholic.
One could say many things about Biden, but as someone who is herself a sinner, as we all are, I simply wish to point out a truth that nobody can debate or deny. A single act of abortion kills an innocent human being. This is provable by science, in philosophy, and is witnessed by those mothers who have aborted their own children and now mourn their loss. If this were not so, ministries like Rachel’s Vineyard and Project Rachel would not exist.
It is because of this that we contemplate the horrors of what President Biden condones. We see it in his wicked smirk or hear it from his sickening voice, as we did during the State of the Union address. This man is not remorseful for the cruelty he has approved. And that, my friends, is all we need to know.
To be very precise about this, I turn to Saint Thomas Aquinas, who taught that “Christ endured much on the cross, and did so patiently, because when he suffered he did not threaten; he was led like a sheep to the slaughter and he did not open his mouth.”
So too each preborn child goes to his or her death, silently to a tiny crucifixion suffered at the hands of those who are immune to the love of God. While we know that these stony hearts will one day have to face Christ, we strive now to defend the innocent as we trust in His ultimate justice and His mercy.
When we contemplate the thousands of babies who have died horrible deaths under the leadership of a disreputable Catholic like Biden, we beg for an end to the murders, and we continue the fight. Let us remind our fellow human beings that Biden scourges the body of Christ every single day as he, like Pontius Pilate, washes his hands of truth and frolics with the evil one instead.
