The infamous Teenwire web site, property of Planned Parenthood, defines what it means to be "pro-life."
Here is an excerpt:
People who are anti-choice oppose abortion and often call themselves pro-life. Many people who are anti-choice do not believe that women should be able to choose abortion under any circumstances, even if she has been raped or if carrying the pregnancy to term may put her life in danger. They also disagree with most medical authorities about the definition of pregnancy. They mistakenly believe that pregnancy begins with the fertilization of the egg…
Talk about propagandizing young people! This deliberate set of erroneous examples takes the cake.
I have to wonder why they didn't write it the way they actually mean it. If I was their copywriter, this is what I would tell teens:
Many people who are opposed to aborting a preborn child do not believe that mothers should be able to choose kill their preborn babies. These people agree with scientists that pregnancy begins when the human being in the womb begins at fertilization. They just don't want to accept the fact that lying to women about birth control helps all of us at Planned Parenthood make more money.
