Imagine my surprise when I came across an article dealing with the wonderful work of the Capitol Hill Crisis Pregnancy Center and their program to bring the life-saving work of pregnancy centers into the inner city. And, it's working.
That does not, however, please everyone. It was the head of Washington-area Planned Parenthood, Jatrice Martel Gaiter, who called the wonderful pro-life crisis pregnancy center volunteers "predatory fanatics." Of course she also said that we pro-lifers "don't lift a finger to help the children who are born unwanted and unplanned."
Just how low can you go, Jatrice? You might judge certain babies to be "unwanted" and "unplanned," but pro-lifers judge every baby as a beautiful gift from God and every expectant mother as worthy of our love and respect. Pro-life Americans do not employ subjective negative adjectives when we don’t have the facts to back up our statements; perhaps Planned parenthood could learn a thing or two from us.
Oh yes, and there's one more thing about us "predatory fanatics." We affirm life in every community for every race without discrimination and without prejudice. Perhaps that is the reason why pro-life pregnancy centers are growing and becoming positive influences in cities across the land.
