Week in Review – Telehealth abortions—Satan’s attack on God’s children
Major news came this week from Planned Parenthood—operator of the nation’s largest abortion chain. Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC and Planned Parenthood of the Saint Louis Region are now prescribing, using telehealth, and delivering, through the mail, the abortion pill (medication abortion). The woman receiving the pill does not have to visit any PP center. Everything is handled remotely. This was made possible by the Biden administration changing the FDA rules for dispensing the abortion pill so the woman no longer needs to pick up the pill from a medical facility. It is claimed that the revised rules were needed because of the pandemic, but the administration is reportedly pushing the FDA to make the change permanent.
Public News Service reported that Dr. Serina Floyd, medical director for Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, said: “Whether we’re talking about those who no longer have access to it in Texas, and who are having to travel out of the state, and for those who are in surrounding areas, depending on how licensing is set up, individuals from anywhere in the country can provide this care to individuals.” The Kaiser Family Foundation reported in June 2021 that 19 states have laws that specifically bar the use of telemedicine for abortions (see map on the KFF site).
Pro-life doctors have developed the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol to help women who have taken the first pill, but have not taken the second, to receive progesterone treatment in the hope of saving the lives of their preborn child. APR treatments have reportedly saved the lives of over 2,500 children and have a 64-68% success rate.
In action that aided the abortion industry, Google recently decided to ban advertisements for the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol. US Senator Steve Daines, founder and chair of the Senate Pro-Life Caucus, this week led a group of 10 senators (Senators Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), Roger Wicker (R-MS), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Mike Braun (R-IN), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Mike Lee (R-UT), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Tom Cotton (R-AR), James Lankford (R-OK), and Jim Inhofe (R-OK)) who sent a letter to demand answers from the CEO of Google, Mr. Sundar Pichai, on Google’s double standard in censoring pro-life Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) advertisements while continuing to allow advertisements for deadly abortion pills.
They wrote, in part: “While banning pro-life APR ads, Google continues to allow ads for purveyors of the deadly abortion pill mifepristone by mail, despite the fact this drug has resulted in at least 24 mothers’ tragic deaths and at least 1,042 mothers being sent to the hospital. Google’s double standard on abortion is disingenuous and an egregious abuse of its enormous market power to protect the billion-dollar abortion industry. The practical consequence of Google’s abortion distortion is that pregnant mothers in crisis will only have the option to be marketed abortion drugs through Google’s ad platforms, while life-affirming alternatives are suppressed.”
It used to be that the pro-life movement concentrated mostly on stopping surgical abortion. However, scientific advancements and a better understanding of normal human development have shown that there are four major types of abortion. Pro-lifers are called upon to fight all four types. They are classified as:
SURGICAL ABORTIONS: These are invasive procedures in which the person committing the abortion inserts instruments (including needles) into the mother’s womb to bring about the death of her child.
PILL ABORTIONS (also called medication or chemical abortions): In these types of abortions, the mother is given drugs to bring about the death of her child. In the FDA-approved protocol, this is done using two drugs: one to kill the child and a second to induce contractions so the now-dead child is expelled from the womb.
CONTRACEPTIVE ABORTIONS: Most so-called “contraceptives” (excluding the barrier methods) have three methods of operation. WebMD describes these three methods: “It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg [a newly created human being]. If a [new human being] does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body.” The third method is an abortion. The already created human being is intentionally prevented from attaching to the uterus and dies.
IVF ABORTIONS: The fourth category of abortions occurs at in vitro fertilization facilities across the country. During the process of IVF, mature eggs are collected (retrieved) from ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab, resulting in an embryo (new human being). Then the embryo (or embryos) is transferred to a uterus. One full cycle of IVF takes about three weeks. The IVF process has a number of procedures that result in aborting preborn children.
Two of those procedures are described by the Mayo Clinic:
- Preimplantation genetic testing: Embryos are allowed to develop in the incubator until they reach a stage where a small sample can be removed and tested for specific genetic diseases or the correct number of chromosomes, typically after five to six days of development. Embryos that don’t contain affected genes or chromosomes can be transferred to your uterus. [Those who are “not up to standards” are aborted or sent to research labs.]
- Fetal reduction: If more than one embryo is transferred to [a woman’s] uterus, IVF can result in a multiple pregnancy—which poses health risks for [the woman] and [her] babies. In some cases, fetal reduction [aborting some of her children] can be used to help a woman deliver fewer babies with lower health risks.
Women undergoing IVF decide what will be done with any “extra embryos” (preborn children). They can be frozen and stored for future use for several years. Though most will survive, not all preborn children will survive the freezing and thawing process. Those who don’t are, essentially, aborted. Alternately, you might be able to donate unused frozen children to another couple or a research facility. You might also choose to discard (abort) unused embryos (preborn children).

This week, it was announced that American Life League, along with more than 30 other pro-life organizations, would be represented at a pro-life prayer rally on October 2 in Washington, DC. The event comes as the Supreme Court prepares to hear the Dobbs v. Jackson case, which has some potential to overturn Roe v. Wade. Katie Brown and Dwain Currier will attend the event, representing American Life League and advocating for the personhood of the preborn child.

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 18, pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at the gravesites of aborted babies and other memorial sites dedicated in their honor for the ninth annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children.
We will gather at these sites to mourn those lost to abortion and honor their graves. If there are no gravesites in your area, the gatherings will take place at memorials to the aborted babies at churches and other locations.
The first National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children was held in September 2013 on the 25th anniversary of the solemn burial of the earthly remains of some 1,500-abortion victims in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over 100 memorial services were held across the United States, and it was clear this should become an annual event.

Pro-life Social Media – The Church’s position on the killing of preborn children couldn’t be clearer—it’s murder
It’s the direct and intentional killing of a preborn, human child. Pope Francis understands this. This week, a reporter asked him a question regarding the withholding of Communion from public individuals who champion the destruction of preborn human life. “Abortion is more than an issue. Abortion is murder. Abortion, without hinting: whoever performs an abortion kills.
This isn’t a controversial statement, but advocates for abortion violence pretend it is.

Every one of these women is a mother. If they hired a hit man, they cooperated with a murder. But those who refuse to condemn the act
of abortion conveniently sidestepped the matter of murder and focused on the pope’s statements regarding the distribution of Communion to those who advocate for the killing of preborn children.
What should the pastor do? Be a shepherd, do not go around condemning, not condemning, but be a pastor.
You know what Pope Francis did NOT say? That bishops should be pastors, not politicians. But pro-abortion media fabricated it to protect their sacred president.

Pope Francis did not “weigh in” on Biden and Pelosi, though he seemed to hint at their being outside of communion with the Church. To say that they should be treated with compassion, not condemnation, isn’t controversial, either. That’s the purpose of Canon 915.

It protects the faithful from scandal.
It protects the Eucharist from sacrilege.

It moves the person toward reconciliation.
Pro-abortion media and notorious Jesuit priests will have their interpretations. None of it will come close to being the truth. What we know to be true is that killing preborn children is evil, and those who advocate for it endanger their souls.
