Pro-Life This Week – December 18, 2020

Week in Review – COVID-19 virus statement; Religious Liberty gaining ground

This week, American Life League president, Judie Brown, issued the following official statement regarding COVID-19 vaccines:

Americans are concerned. The questions keep coming about the vaccines being developed to protect folks from COVID-19. Many have asked us what they should do. To be injected or not: That is the question. Far be it from us to tell anyone what they should decide with regard to COVID vaccines, but we can provide you with the facts and our position on these vaccines.

First, the facts:

RUSHED VACCINES and SAFETY CONCERNS: Unfortunately, the vaccine development process is in dangerous overdrive due to the escalating number of cases and fear that the winter will bring even more cases—and of course, deaths. As one distraught writer puts it: “In times of crisis, we need to have flexibility in drug approval standards, and FDA recognizes that. A few more weeks of safety data from a vaccine trial is not going to give us what we want, which is certainty.”

Perhaps months or years from now, we will be sorry that the FDA was pressed to move forward without enough research. It is clear that Operation Warp Speed was not the prudent route to take. The World Doctors AllianceDr. Theresa Deisher, and many more make it clear that human lives are indeed at stake—from faulty tests for the virus, scientific errors in their research “data,” and severe immune reactions!

ABORTED BABY BODY PARTS: The facts about how some of these vaccines are being produced are not pretty. Children of God for Life has worked to provide an update on which vaccines are with fetal parts and which are tainted. Note that aborted baby parts can be used in the initial designing, in testing, in development of vaccines, or in all three.

Children of God for Life’s Debi Vinnedge has confirmed research that shows that Moderna used the aborted fetal cells in its original research, development, design, and testing.

Additionally, Dr. Stacy Trasancos has expressed concern regarding the morality of developing these vaccines.

Vinnedge tells American Life League: “Pfizer did use aborted fetal cells ONLY for testing the final product—but Moderna used them from start to finish. Once they finished the original vaccine, the cells are not used again.”

A few Catholic prelates, including Bishop Joseph E. Strickland of Tyler, Texas, have issued a joint statement on this question. This statement, created with the assistance of scientists and others, says in part: “Why did murder-based technology emerge in medicine, whose purpose is instead to bring life and health? Bio-medical research that exploits the innocent unborn and uses their bodies as ‘raw material’ for the purpose of vaccines seems more akin to cannibalism than medicine.”

GENETICALLY ENGINEERED VACCINES: Some in the scientific community have warned of even graver dangers involving some of these vaccines that use a certain type of genetic engineering (the use of messenger-RNA) that involves “gene editing,” where the genetic changes are also passed down through all of one’s future generations.

Never have any vaccines been produced using genetically engineered m-RNA. Such vaccines are dangerous. They change the functioning of the DNA in the mitochondria in one’s human genome (i.e., “genome” = all the DNA in a cell—both nuclear and mitochondrial).

The John Paul II Medical Research Institute reports:

While the federal government launched “Operation Warp Speed” (OWS) to produce several vaccine candidates, there are numerous concerns about these vaccines. The lead vaccines are being produced by Pfizer and Moderna, which will soon receive an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Their vaccines use a synthetic message ribonucleic acid (mRNA) to produce the COVID-19 “spike protein.” It is important to note that mRNA vaccines have never been approved for any prior infectious disease. mRNA vaccines theoretically create an immunity to the virus by delivering the gene of the spike protein into muscle tissue which, in turn, produces the spike protein and elicits an immune response.

The report goes on to say that Pfizer and Moderna have “recently release[d] a press release that their vaccines are over 90% effective. However, to date, that data has not been published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, nor have these companies defined what they mean by effective.”

SUMMATION: This collection of information, the fact that vaccines normally take years to develop, and the recommendations made to us by scientists and others have led American Life League to take this position:

American Life League will not approve the use of any of the COVID-19 vaccines at this time.

If you, in consultation with your physician, choose to accept a COVID-19 vaccine, that is your decision. Our obligation is to provide you with the facts.

God bless you!

END OF ALL VACCINE STATEMENT

This week, Religious Liberty won another round. On Tuesday, the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Nevada’s COVID-19 restrictions on church attendance, saying they were unconstitutional. The state’s restrictions had limited the number of people at a church service to a maximum of 50 people or 25 percent of capacity, whichever is less. However, other businesses, including restaurants and casinos, were limited to 25 percent capacity but no specific restriction on the number of people. So-called “essential businesses” had even higher or no limits. In the ruling, the three-member panel wrote: “But even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten. The restrictions at issue here, by effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the very heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty.”

Three weeks ago, in a case involving churches in New York, the United States Supreme Court came to the same conclusion. The Ninth Circuit referred to that SCOTUS decision, saying, “The Supreme Court’s decision in Roman Catholic Diocese compels us to reverse the district court. Just like the New York restrictions, the Directive treats numerous secular activities and entities significantly better than religious worship services. Casinos, bowling alleys, retail businesses, restaurants, arcades, and other similar secular entities are limited to 50 percent of fire-code capacity, yet houses of worship are limited to fifty people regardless of their fire-code capacities.”

We encourage leaders of all churches to insist on their constitutional rights to conduct their religious services without government interference.

ALL in the News – ALL Provides Clear-Cut Facts on COVID-19 Vaccines

On Tuesday, American Life League released an official statement regarding COVID-19 vaccines.Together with Debi Vinnedge  (Children of God for Life) and Dr. Dianne Irving, ALL presents all the known facts about the dangers of the COVID-19 vaccines. While it is not ALL’s responsibility to tell anyone what they should do regarding vaccines, it is our responsibility to provide all the facts.

Yesterday, American Life League vice president, Hugh Brown, was interviewed by political commentator and former presidential candidate, Alan Keyes. The full interview will appear on the show “Let’s Talk America with Alan Keyes”. Clips of the show can be found on ALL’s Facebook page.

Every Friday afternoon, the American Life League social media team, Dwain Currier and Katie Brown, host the Friday Live Show on Instagram Live. Last week, the duo discussed 5 ways to celebrate the season of Advent. The show regularly discusses current events and provides young adults a platform where they can have their culture of life questions answered. Replays of the show can be found on Facebook.

Twice a week, Judie Brown’s commentaries are distributed to an expansive media list. The list contains over 100 media outlets such as Fox News, The FederalistBreitbart, and The Daily Caller, among others. Judie’s recent COVID vaccine statement served as Tuesday’s commentary. Each commentary is also featured as a part of Judie’s recurring column on Renew America

Jim Sedlak’s Pro-Life Activism from Creation to Death is a weekly talk-radio program on the Radio Maria USA network. The show can be heard live every Friday at noon (Eastern Time) and is repeated on Saturdays (10 PM).

The fourth and final week of Advent is almost here. There’s still time to do any of Katie Brown’s five suggestions for observing Advent.

Action Item of the Week – End-of-Year Pro-Life Activities at Planned Parenthood and all abortion facilities

As we approach the end of 2020, there are several traditional pro-life activities that take place outside Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities. We recap each here in case you want to participate this year.

Caroling for Christmas 12/21 – 12/26

Many pro-lifers across the country bring the message of LOVE to Planned Parenthood by gathering and singing Christmas carols in the days before and the day after Christmas. It is a time to bring the joy of Christmas to everyone, including customers of Planned Parenthood, workers inside Planned Parenthood, and those who live near a Planned Parenthood location. We recommend that this not be just added to normal protests but be a special time that is in addition to or instead of your normal activities. People’s hearts can be touched by God during these caroling events and we want to bring the peace of the season to everyone.

Bells for Babies 12/28

December 28 is the Feast of the Holy Innocents. This feast, also known as Childermas, is a remembrance of the massacre of young children in Bethlehem by King Herod in his attempt to kill the infant Jesus (Matthew 2:16–18). It is a natural time to do something in your community to commemorate the millions of preborn babies murdered by abortion in the United States. We simply do not know how many preborn children have lost their lives to abortion. It is currently estimated that the number, since 1973, is at least 63 million—through surgical and medical abortions. This, of course, does not count the millions more who have lost their lives through so-called contraceptives and IVF procedures.

Since the 1980s, many people have commemorated the event by having churches in their town ring bells at a specified time. They ring the bell once for every million babies. Thus, depending on the bell system, it would take three to five minutes to ring the bells 63 times in 2020. You can imagine the impact of having almost every church in town ringing bells at the same time to remember the preborn. Other communities ring manual or electronic chimes outside Planned Parenthood. If you have seven people each holding a bell and have them ring in order, each would ring their bell a total of nine times.

This is a visual and audio impact that will surely call attention to the on-going magnitude of the massacre of the innocents today.

Mysteries for Mothers 12/30 – 1/01

Finally, in commemoration of the Feast of Mary, the Mother of God, many people gather outside Planned Parenthood on the evening of December 30 or on January 1, to say a Rosary for the closing of all Planned Parenthood and other facilities. You can pray any one of the mysteries (Joyous, Luminous, Sorrowful, or Glorious) using the Reflections for each mystery written specifically for the Marian Blue Wave by Judie Brown and approved by Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas. These reflections can be found at: https://marianbluewave.com/praying-the-mbw-rosary/

The MBW is a growing world-wide activity that has seen tremendous results in just 15 months.

We encourage everyone to sign up for weekly updates. When you do, you will be kept up to date on the successes of the effort. Those who sign up by the end of the year will be among the first to get the exciting news of the Planned Parenthood closures in 2020.

We wish all our readers a very Merry Christmas and a happy and Holy New Year!!

Pro-life Social Media – ‘Disgusting’: Abortion Violence Organization Posts Picture of the Worst Gingerbread House

It’s inevitable that when Christians celebrate the season of holy days like Christmas and Easter, abortion advocates make extra efforts to offend Christian sensibilities. Last week on our Instagram Livestream we shared the holiday tree from hell (original tweet since deleted). This week, we get the gingerbread house from hell.

You’d be lucky to find an actual abortion facility with the words “Abortion Clinic” on its marquee. Transparency isn’t a characteristic of the wicked.

The irony here is that, like gingerbread houses, abortion facilities don’t last long.

Doubtful. But it would go viral among pro-life users on Twitter.
